I'm not entirely sure what you're asking here.

Are you asking me for help with a Steam issue? Or are you saying you installed the Steam version, then installed this one, and she doesn't appear in-game?

ihad her in a save with a few other followers and eff but when I loaded that save she was gone from my party and when I checked it on steam anytime I click on the seam version link it says this mod is either hidden or I don' have permission to view it, yet when I started over she was back in the riverwood inn , ready to go. I was trying to cick on the link to it to rate t when it became hidde. so basically I don't know why that is happening.

I'm not sure why Steam would do that as the mod is Public, neither hidden nor unavailable.

Since she appears when you go back to start a new game, it sounds like your save file became corrupted somehow, and the game "lost" her. Skyrim is bad about this, especially when you begin playing around with the game files. It's why the first rule of modding is "back up your game saves", so you can revert to an earlier one.

Try going back a few saves and see if she's still there. Did you add any follower mods, etc, into the game after putting her in? Some mods don't play well together. She works fine with UFO, but I don't use any Follower Overhaul mods myself, so she's never been tested with any of the new ones.

If she still doesn't appear, you could try uninstalling the Steam version, then reinstalling it. Or alternatively, pick up the Nexus Mod Manager on this website, and use it to add the Nexus version. People have a crapload of problems with all three versions of my Steam mods, but the same mods here on Nexus produce virtually no issues.

I made her look like an Altmer elf, same as the other ones in the game look.

Not all female races look like human female fashion models with anime faces and ginormous boobies, y'know. :p

It's a hair style from Apachii SkyHair. I don't remember which one, specifically.
      I believe #28.

Even though a few of my characters are as some may put it "eloquent beauties in non-lore clothing," I do appreciate lore beauties who are lore from the game also. Modded or not, they still are retained as part of the game originally, high altmer, high elf, elf, bosmer, Nord, imperial, doesn't matter, it's all in the game.

You sir have a great companion mod and I may be downloading it as soon as I can check my mod count.
    Kudos to a great mod.

Altimer are far from ugly, good sir. It's nice that you didn't alter the look of her as an Altimer or I would pass over this mod rather easily. It's nice when someone releases a follower that actually looks like the intended race.

    Thanks for the upload.

Thanks both for commenting and trying it out.

Per the description, she's based on the character of a friend of mine. My friend named the character Shakuntala years ago, so the name stays here in her transition to Skyrim. The mod is based on her, and her character. I know who Shakuntala is, as I looked up the name when I met my friend years ago. She may as well, but honestly I've never bothered to ask her.

As far as the Shakuntala mod.......she's not an over the hill high elf........she's just a high elf. They don't look very young normally in Skyrim. In fact, in the base game, they're kind of freaky ugly along with dark elves (and don't even get me started on poor wood elves).

What my mod is: Realistic-looking, pretty elf woman which sticks with the visual style of the race in Skyrim, who loves to stab things and makes for a perfect companion to more evilly-inclined Dragonborn. Lore-friendly.

What my mod is not: Modern, plastic, super-model looking Nord companion who runs about in high-heels, spandex-gear and looks about as much in place in Tamriel as Larry The Cable Guy does in the Westminster Dog Show.

Again, thanks for the comments, sorry this type of mod is not for you. But you may also enjoy my other mods, which feature a lore-friendly, pretty orc woman named Visarra, and a Lydia replacer that turns her into a seven-foot tall 2H barbarian princess. That one's not so lore-friendly, but man, is it fun.

In ancient Indian mythology, Shakuntala was a beautiful maiden. She was the daughter of the famous sage Vishwamitra, and was later wooed and married by the handsome King Dushyanta. Their son become the famed Emperor Bharata, who united the subcontinent (now called the Indian subcontinent), into the famous empire called Bharatavarsha, the land of Bharata. The heroic Pandavas of Mahabharata were descendants of Emperor Bharata.

In modern times, Shakuntala Devi is an acclaimed prodigy (in mathematical calculations and astrology) from India , and a Guinness record holder. In 1977, she worked out a 23rd root of a 201-digit number, 10 seconds faster than a Univac-1108 computer! She has written many popular books and has regaled audiences the world over with her eidetic memory and calculation abilities.

@schwazerwind: To be honest, I'm not sure why you chose such an illustrious and beautiful name, as it doesn't really suit your companion character. But it is nice to see you've picked a legendary name for your companion, and I hope your mod finds many fans. There are not many "past their prime" companions for Skyrim, so it's unique in that sense.
