Like other people have already pointed out, I would like to report a serious bug with this mod causing script latency. It keeps producing errors from calling a function on a None object multiple times per second all the time, resulting in extreme script lag. I don't know if this is due to an incompatibility with another mod or faulty code, but it heavily delays or even breaks other scripted vanilla events and mods.

Could you officially port this mod over to SSE and maybe add a more serious version where you hit the weapon literally in the anvil instead of a workbench and the weapon gets permanently upgraded if you have perks to ugprade it?

    That'd be super!

Okay well...after a few days straight of modding Skyrim to my taste, it appears i have narrowed a very serious problem i have down to this mod. When used in conjunction with all of the mods that i have installed, the Helgen sequence becomes EXTREMELY buggy and unstable. There was one time i went through it where the cart got stuck on the first gate that the cart passes through to enter Helgen. Retried and the cart went by fine, but this time, it took at least a whole minute for my character to get off of the cart after everyone else, he just stood there. Then after Rogvir talks to me, and i have to go watch the prisoners get executed, that takes a while to happen. And finally, when i'm about to be executed and am standing at the block, i never get pushed down onto it, and everyone stares at eachother awkwardly. BUT it might not just be Helgen that is affected though, because i'm using the alternative start - live another life mod by Arthmoor, and i tried another beginning to see if it was just Helgen having problems, and it wasn't. When i slept in the bed to start the game, i woke up in the same room (which isnt supposed to happen) and Ulfric Stormcloak, General Tullius, Rogvir, and two Stormcloak soldiers randomly appeared in this small jail cell and started fighting. It was the weirdest thing i had ever seen. Strange thing is, they were all essential, even the Stormcloaks. After a while of watching them go at it, i randomly teleported to where i was actually supposed to go, and after running from a pack of wolves (miscellaneous detail) my character froze as if there was a cutscene happening, but nothing was happening, just my character standing there. Had to close the game. Now, i haven't tried that exact start yet without this mod installed, but i had a quicksave at Helgen where i was just standing in front of the block, nobody pushing me down onto it. As soon as the .esp was disabled, boom, it worked as normal.

Now here is a theory...All of these glitches are just so extremely random and unrelated, that what i think is, since i already have alot of mods that i'm sure have many scripts running in the beginning of the game, that this mod is just totally messing them up and slowing them down, causing strange things to happen... I assessed this partially from what myewggs said below, and it seems like a possibility. Perhaps maybe this mod has a script running all the time to check "did he hit the sword with a hammer yet?!?!" a billion times? Or maybe something else. Maybe its not the problem at all and is a simple compatibility issue...though its a very strange one if so and i would have no idea how to help you there with finding the problem...to me though, it definitely seems like funny script behaviors. Now this is all said from right after i got helgen to work, and havent played through after that, and if something else comes up i will be back to share. I think i will be disabling this for now, maybe i will add it in later in the game. Not sure. I think this mod is extremely clever and is a genius idea, love the idea, and it would be extremely cool to have this in my game...and i'm not saying that your mod is entirely to blame...hell it may even be that if i had a faster cpu the scripts would run faster and i wouldnt notice this much. Not sure if it works like that though. And i'm just assuming this mod has scripts running for it...seems like something that would...if not, my apologies. I will be checking back fairly often in the next couple of weeks as i would love to get this mod to work smoothly with my setup. Anyways, i hope at least a little bit of this information was helpful to you, maybe you might know whats going on. Keep in mind my .esp's are in the 100+ mark, but then again i used to play oblivion with over 300 esp's, and considering that, it was extremely stable, the only non stable thing about it was my fps! lmfao

Wow, this looks really cool! Downloading now. G.E.M.S. sent me here. Thank you G.E.M.S.! And thank you, sagittarius22, for creating this mod! I hope you continue to update this, and perhaps a config file could be added to configure the amount of hours your weapon is improved for maybe? Anyways, i'm definitely endorsing this!

Also question, the 15 hours in-game changes according to your time scale right? like if i had it so 1 hour ingame was 15 mins in real time, the smithing improvement would be active for 225 real minutes, right? (not sure if my math is right there, but hopefully you get the question)

i don't know if it's an incompatibility, but my skyrim was running perfect without a single problem before i installed this mod, but then with this on, the scripts in game started to be very "slow" (like that mod to auto-unequip arrows when you take the bow out, it started to take up to 5 secs to it work, and before this was almost instantaneous, the same to Tundra defense and any other mods that rely on scripts, hopefully this report can be of any help to this awesome mod
