OK so after extensive testing in other words HEAPS of dead bad guys of all types and they NEVER knew what hit them, I endorse everything is working as advertised on a HEAVILY modded game 400+ installed then merged as needed/works and only 204 "active" so that said this makes my sniper/sniping process really click into gear. and i suggest you add this after any/all other mods that work on "perks" and I have 3 the "dovankiin race, the perk overhaul and another and this last.

request: could you would you make this workable with my followers, it would be ok IF that also included any/all NPC's but would like it just for the follower faction IF possible (gotta watch out for my girls) I have ASIS and it adds skills/perks and such to all NPC's not just followers so now the fights get a bit "edgy" when the bad guys can heal much faster (because of AI ) and I have only human reflexes ... and they can heal up to 5 times since they have a supply of potions thanks again to ASIS. SO I was really hopin' to get this ability into my followers AI, whatcha think? do-able?
BUT as this is NOW it is already a perm part of all my current and future play-thrus I have 6 at the moment as I LIKE the LAL new start in new place with new gear and new situations.

in RL-RW experience hunting and "such" I have many times dropped deer/ elk with one shot (bow) between 40-70 yards and a half dozen from 70-100. I was of course using a very heavy pull, and both a "natural" and a composite/pully combo. so this thingy about the 3/6/9 or 3/5/8 is somewhat moot. (about a head or heart shot), I do happen to think that hitting anything in a "non-vital" spot should not kill outright as it doesn't do that in RL-RW in real life I have found IF you hit the bear in the bu*T, he tends to turn and charge, (this is personal experience), and thank the God/s I had my 44 with me that day. I thought I would duplicate a shot I saw "Ben Pearson" make on TV (back in the day) he took down a fully adult and HUGE Alaskan Grizz with 1 (I say again "1")
shot to the head THRU an open mouth during the bear's ROAR. and he was @ 15-20 yards away. AND he actually whistled to get the bear's "attention", as it was busy ripping a huge redwood tree apart (to eat the grubs, I kid you not!) Anyway the bear spun around (you could only see the hump of his back until then) as the tree was 5-6 foot thick, well he saw Ben and went vertical and straight into that ROAR and as his jaws parted Ben shot and drew /readied another arrow like magic. But as he took aim the Grizz was already starting his back-fall, and you could clearly see the fletching just under his nose and upper teeth there was total silence (even the commentators), they were watching from a "live remote" with TV camera on telescopic and far back. anyway Ben climbed up on the huge log and looked down on the bear ( now out of the viewer's sight) and he took a long look and then quickly shot it again. the announcers asked if it was still alive? and Ben said no it was dead first shot BUT why take the chance it wasn't, during this time you could see a camera crew rushing up to Ben and when they got there they switched and showed the Grizz, with Ben touching the nock of the arrow in it's mouth. It was about the mid 60's "American Hunter or American Wildlife" or something like that name. I think it might be on you tube?? but was stunning to see. Now that is entertainment !!! if ya live anyway. No I don't "hunt bear", the one we were after was decimating cattle and sheep of the locals and they asked for us to help.
    Thanks again for this mod

If the mods both edit the same perk tree, only one will work. Which one works depends on your load order. If you load Dovahkiin Perks first, then load this mod, you should get the Sniper Bow Perks, but you will not get any Bow perk tree changes from Dovahkiin Perks. Other perk trees edited by Dovahkiin should work fine.

Hi! Don't want to sound picky, mind you. The front page read me says this adds two more tiers to Deadly Aim needing skills of 40 and 60. But according to the Wiki, Deadly Aim itself needs a skill of 40 base.

Deadly Aim Sneak 40, Backstab Sneak attacks with bows now do three times damage

So does this mean I get Deadly Aim 1 and 2 if I have two perk points and 40 in Sneak? So what is the actual skill requirements for the next two tiers?

Not picky at all! Thanks for the heads up. Even I must occasionally bow to the power of the almighty mistake.

    Exactly.

    @Tuprewm
I'm sure I could find a couple of broken skulls with flint lodged in them that might disagree about deflection

Thanks for all of the comments and feedback! I'm just glad to know I wasn't the only one who was looking for something like this.

How about this, guys... Be a warhammer-using assassin... I personally can pull a ranged assassination off fairly well... The trick is poison. And the reason that you wouldn't kill someone when they have an arrow sticking out of their head is because the head would most likely deflect the arrow...

15x daggers isn't really overpowered but not being able to be that precise with anything else is what bothers so many people. Pufthemajicdragon stated it very well and I share the same outlook. Realistically if you shoot someone with an arrow it will mess them up pretty bad. Movies and games keep showing dudes pulling arrows out like it's nothing but that is NOT how it works. If you can sneak up on a dude and hit his kidney or spine with a knife/dagger killing him instantly, than sneaking around and shooting him in the eye should have the same effect. When an arrow shot from a very skilled (and in Skyrim's case a very magical, god-favored badass) archer hits a completely unaware, untensed body, it'll do crazy damage with enough power and this mods simulates that a lot better than Vanilla Skyrim can. Bows were the first predecessors to guns and if you can get pinpoint accuracy with a gun that has much more recoil and instability than you can do it with a bow. I think a lot of people think 15x daggers are overpowered because of the desparity between that perk and the other two but they have a problem verbalizing it.

I can't understand why people keep thinking 15x daggers is overpowered. If I have to risk getting extremely close to attack the enemy it's only right that I can secure the kill. And don't even get me started on how it's pretty much impossible to backstab any non humanoid enemy.

I'm not dissing your mod or anything but there are so many mod makers that seem to believe that bows are supposed to one shot everything and I just can't understand why.

Because it's COOL. I can't understand how I can shoot some dude and have him come running at me with an arrow sticking out of his forehead and somehow he's not dead! So you sneak up real close on a bad guy and use your dagger to slice his throat, killing him instantly. That kind of RP is what the 15x damage is supposed to simulate. So why can't I use my bow to stick an arrow through the same guy's brains from a distance? In my opinion the vanilla game is just overly biased towards dagger using assassins, and ignores anyone who wants to play a sniper-type assassin. But hey, if you don't like it, you don't have to use it <img class="> That's the beauty of mods!
