I love the result, now the fists of steel perk is as powerful as my weapons. Just a minor bug: I can't brawl, now is considered a weapon attack and generates bounty immediately. Didn't work for my bully character, but still very feasible for regular combat.

It's not working for me, is it not compatible with SKSE or something? I don't know anything about moding (i'm a total noob when it comes to mods in general) but as it is this mod is last in the load order. I assume that means it overrides any other mod that it might conflict with? the only other mod i have that might make any changes to unarmed is "Epbreen's Craft Temper Smelt" which adds gauntlets that do extra unarmed damage. I don't have any mods that change the heavy armor skill at all.

Edit: Also, do i have to be wearing gauntlets (heavy or otherwise) for this to work?

    Thanks.

Excellent idea. I like this much better than the mods that just scale up damage with player level or the complicated ones that add in invisible weapons and such.

does this actually change the skill itself to use the heavy armor instead of the armor rating of gauntlets

Wouldn't it be easier to just remove the cap on unarmed so that Fists Of Steel works to its full extent.

I can work on it. The heavy armor one was easy because I just had to modify the script that is already in place for the fists of steel perk. I'd have to associate the same script with a light armor perk and then apply it to all the light gauntlets, so it probably wouldn't be compatible with any non-vanilla gauntlets.

I'm just guessing at that though and I'll look into it and get back to you.

Can you add a version that uses your light armor skill instead of heavy? I'm more of a light armor user.
