SE Edit: tested it with the Skyrim Special Edition now - and it works perfectly! Here's what you have to do:
Just extract the FH_Plaguesword.bsa with any bsa extractor you like. Put all the files into the Data folder of the Skyrim Special Edition, together with the .esp and load the mod. Like a charm
For safety I also opened upt the .esp in the new Creation Kit and simply saved and closed it. But this should not be necessary at all. Have fun with this excellent little mod, it is one of the best.
I really like the design of this weapon, it's perfect for a follower of Peryite character. However I opened the BSA and took a look at the .nif and texture files and found that they won't work as they should. This means that a future modder might have difficulty using this weapon in their mod, as the files outside of the mod don't work. Aside from that the weapon appears as it should in-game perfectly fine.
I'd really like to try this mod but I am concerned because it was last updated before March 19th, 2013 "Last updated before the 19th of March, 2013 - Any mod made before this will not account for the latest patches and changes and could undo Bethesda's official updates resulting in an unstable game or missing mechanics from your game. "

I have just run through the short quest without any problems, I am a few months behind with my Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch (being 3.0.0 from last November)
Quick question. An chance for something more Khorne related? Like for example a two handed Hellblade the Bloodletters wield;-0? Really need something to keep up those skull for the Brass Throne coming;-)
