I'm so glad this works on SE as well so I don't have to figure out modding it in myself. I use some of the more adult orientated mods that work better when all your enemies have a certain kind of equipment.
This is one of my most important mods! Just wanted to say that, with all those people who think this is sexist, while mods where only women exists are fine. Double Standards... Thank you for the mod! I really appreciate it. Personally I want it because I want to see a world full of men, because I'm a gay male and this is a fantasy game. Seeing that some people use it because "killing men is okay, killing women feels wrong" is part of the heteronormative behaviour I find highly toxic. But everyone has their reason, so I can't judge people for this, while I just want women gone from my game. So, yeah... Enough politics for today. Just wanted to say thanks.
not gay but i totally agree with you, i will say that everyone can have their own reasons for using mods ofcourse but i feel like ppl are way too vocal about this s#*!
@Oozaru85 Throughout history men have killed men in warfare, whereas the participation of women in warfare or forming up into roaming bands of desperados is statistically zero. Men wanting to kill men in a video game shouldn't be too controversial, and certainly not sexist based on 10,000+ years of human history.
I can't even count the number of diversions there are that constitute warfare absent actual killing. Martial arts, laser tag, paintball, fencing, archery, chess, darts, video games. There's nothing unusual about warfare and the outlets for that urge, except if they pit men against women ... that's aberrant. "Women and children first" is a concept most people understand; which is to say mature men give up their lives to protect women and children if necessary. They don't relish killing them, even in games. Killing other men, however, is perfectly natural.
The movies might be all about saving your family from tigers and bears, but in real life you're saving them from other men.
i have been searching for a mod like this for a long while, i'm honestly just tired of having to kill women all the time so i wouldn't mind it if women were removed only from the bandit lists. although it has never been that bad in bethesda games i still hate this trend of filling games with female enemies (who are often conventionally attractive) and forcing you to kill them.
[Is a woman and doesn't mind killing anyone in games, regardless of who or what they are, but just wants all the NPCs to be male for a more "immersive" experience in my personal playthrough...]
Uh nah, no immersion for us SE users. Too bad the SE versions of this kind of mod were ALL roasted to death by angry finger pointing comments, ended up either hidden or deleted. Like, I'm fine to have female Stormcloak and Thalmor soldiers to fight alongside/against, cuz IT IS IMMERSIVE with lore to back it up, but tons of female bandits everywhere just str8 up ridiculous. Damn, all I ask is to lower the female bandits spawn rate, but nah, internet won't let ya. Guess Imma try to mod it myself then.
I've been looking for a mod like this everywhere and found it just now. All search engines seem to be restricting results for this as well. Amazing that others will screech just because I am attracted to males and ONLY MALES. Lesbian mods always get a free pass yet people brown their pants at all-gay modifications. Regardless I Like this mod.
I use this mod and I would classify myself as "super strait." I like it because yes, I can suspend my disbelif for dragons and shouts and magic but not for 50% of bandits being women, its just idiotic. My followers are CBBE gorgeous women but I want the enemies to be male. I agree with you they make this mod hard to find, but not because its "gay" (that would make them promote it) It's because its "sexist" God forbid we admit men are stronger and more violent than women are.
Realistically, the only women anywhere near combat in the dark age and medieval worlds were camp followers: prostitutes, clothing makers and repairers, tent and banner sowers, cooks, etc. This is how it should be normally portrayed in most fantasy settings, in my opinion, with men and women fighting side by side being the exception to the genre, and not the rule.
I'm not at all going to say that this mod is sexist, I think saying that a mod is sexist/racist/homophobic/whatever is as smart as saying that video-games make people violent. This is a fantasy role-playing game ffs you can imagine whatever you want about its universe. But I feel like the reason some people give for using it, "I'm not comfortable seeing women killed", is, well, questionable... Like, it would be ok to kill men but not women ? Now I'm sorry but THAT is sexist.
Sexism isn't just about treating women badly, it's about treating them differently than men. And if you think violence is legitimate against men but not against women, well yeah, that is sexist.
With that being said, you're free to use whatever mod you want. The whole point of games and mods like those is to create a universe in which you feel comfortable playing, so I'm thankful this mod and so many others exist, so that players can create their perfect escapism game. I already have explained my position. But you are completely missing my point. And since you're being purposefully dishonest, by making me say something that I haven't even insinuated, I'm gonna have to explain it with more details. Fine.
Firstly, as I already said, thinking that it's not okay to kill women but okay to kill men is sexist, because sexism is about treating women differently than men. So, if you're against killing women in video games/TV/whatever, you should reasonably be against it for men too, if you're not sexist (you're not, right ?) and so you should be against any graphic depiction of violence against humans at all. (And there is nothing wrong with that, it's your right to have an opinion on what should or should not be shown in video games.) But, since you are playing Skyrim, a game in which half of the enemies encountered are humanoids, it's gonna be a little hard for you to play the game without seeing that sort of violence (but hey, that could be a fun challenge playthrough !)
Secondly, - and I can't believe I actually have to say this explicitly - no, I do not particularly enjoy seeing women being killed, not any more than I enjoy seeing men being killed. Actually, I neither like nor dislike it. When I watch a movie, a video game cutscene, whatever, I just watch it, and that's it. It's fiction, it's not like you were actually witnessing a real person being murdered. And that's beside the point anyway. As I explained above, if the game presents me with an enemy that happens to be a woman, then I'm gonna kill her, the same way I would of a male enemy. Not because I enjoy it, but because I want to progress in the game. It's as simple as that. I can't believe I actually have to explain this and defend myself against such ridiculous accusations. If, when you read "women should be treated the same as men", you understand "I'm a sociopath who kills women for fun", it basically shows that you are either missing my point on purpose, or that you have huge communication problems, in which case it may be time to go see a doctor.

In Lord of the Rings, all the orcs were male only. Was Tolkien a sexist? (The fellowship was also male only, and every soldier as well.)
In Star Wars, all the Stormtrooper were men, so were all the Gungan soldiers in Episode 1. (Lucas a sexist?)

I also didn't say anything about the mod author, you completely imagined that. My ONLY point was that the justification "it makes me uncomfortable to kill women in video games" is sexist. That's all. You mentioned other examples of entertainment media, then tried to use that information against OP but if you understood his message you would've realized that you're supporting OP's argument. The reason why having all orc soldiers male is not because Tolkien is sexist, its because he decided the culture was going to have that system in place thus "can imagine whatever you want about its universe".
OP's point was referring to people who download this mod and don't want to kill women but are fine with killing men. Not the ones who want to have a more (in their own opinions) immersive game. Perhaps to mimic real life where criminals, soldiers, etc are more likely to be men. Thus, the mod and media you pointed out are not inherently sexist. However what is sexist are specific viewpoints certain downloaders of this mod may or may not have.
