Thanks, endorsed. Now if only I could figure out how to join the guild without having to become a thug. They have fallen far from the ideals set by the Grey Fox and even resort to robbing beggars. Would love to see a mod in place that allows one to clean up the guild and put Maven Black-Briar in her place.

Yeah the whole Nocturnal thing has always really irked me as well. Yeah, sure, she's great and all but why force a thief to serve a god? There's a mod that worked to alter that part and give you a choice to opt out, but one of the later patches broke it and it didn't seem to ever recover.
You don't. I've completed it many times without having to enter the mages college. (Though I do anyway, cause that's how I am.) I do the work for septimus before anything else, which leads me to black reach within a matter of time, and the elder scroll. So you can take it to parthurnax the very moment you first meet him, without being in the college.
Seriously, is the Thieves Guild that desperate, i suppose Brynjolf walks to every Person that enters Riften and practically Begs them to Join, no wonder we find later in the Game Idiot Thieves who keeps stealing Candle Sticks and Dishes. ">
Thanks for making this mod. The quest sticking in my journal KILLS my OCD, and when I DO do it, it leads to me devoting my character's soul to a deadra. I avoid the dark brotherhood because of this, AND the theives guild, and most dedra quests as a whole.
This is great. Too late for me this play through but I will have to download this next time. Then maybe I won't have to open the console and make him mortal so I can kill him.I will never be joining the wanker thieves guild.

I just made an .esp for it, and I'm gonna run it through some testing right now; if it works out I'll upload it sometime soon.
