      Same thing here.

      Wrye Bash is also giving me the errors for Skyrim.esm and Update.esm. The only one of these that has a visible bsa is Skyrim.esm, but that has like 10 separate ones! Any help would be appreciated, since it won't let me create a bashed patch without these string files!

      incase you haven't figured it out yet. Open Skyrim-patch.bsa, then underneath strings you will find the files.

    I don't have any of the .bsa files that Wrye Bash is whining about...there is no Skyrim.bsa/Dawnguard.bsa in my data folder...

    While the game I was modding is Fallout 4, I ran into this issue and managed to solve it by correcting the Fallout4Custom.ini. Maybe it could help people having problems with Skyrim. I changed the contents to:

    [Archive]
    bInvalidateOlderFiles=1
    sResourceDataDirsFinal=STRINGS/
    [Display]
    iLocationX=0
    iLocation Y=0

    First of all, does this apply to Skyrim Special Edition as well?

    When I try to open the ESMs through the BSA Extractor, all I get is a window saying:

    "Unable to open archive
    File was not a valid BSA archive"

    ...wut?

    Would this process be about the same for fixing Fallout 4 DLC? Would it be the same three files?
