hi, for some random reason I can use night vision in human form being a werewolf, I just started to happen, I think its related to dying in werewolf form, but i can't find a way to fix it, does anyone knows how to solve this?

I really like the idea of this mod and would love to use it but after installing it for Skyrim Special Edition I wasn't able to run the game. The game just wouldn't start after clicking play. I looked into it a bit further and it seems like it is only valid or at least only working on the base Skyrim game. Would that be something you would be willing to work on?

When playing Alternate Start - Live Another Life, you may find that Predator Vision stops functioning and nothing you do gets it working.

To correct the issue go into your console '~' and type: "Save MyGame 1" without the quotes and press <ENTER>

The game will pause and appear locked up as it creates the save. This is a different type of save and will take a bit longer. If a massive amount of time has passed and the game is still unresponsive, then just give the game the Three-Fingered Salute (CTRL-ALT-DEL), reload and try again. (happens to me sometimes)

Upon completion you will notice a windows text file pop up. This indicates that the save was completed successfully. If the game cuts out or you cannot get back to play then don't worry. Just give it another Three-Fingered Salute as you need to exit anyway.

Go to nexus and manually download the "Save Game Script Cleaner" https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/52363/?

This is a small windows utility that runs via executable and requires no installation. Put the extracted contents in a folder and stick it in a place you can find it easy. I like making a shortcut to the executable and placing it on my desktop.

This simple and easy utility even comes with a tutorial video. Feel free t watch it but I will also add my own two-cents.

With the utility running, click the <Open> button found to the right of the program window and find your save you made. The utility should open the explorer window fairly close to where your saves are normally located which is Documents\My Games\Skyrim

When opened go ahead and click the <FixScriptInstances> button to clear out orphaned scripts. However, if this is just as you are starting, (like escaping from your cell) and the statue has gone (which is when you do this), then there shouldn't be much of anything in the way of orphaned scripts.

But, again, do this AFTER the Mara Statue has gone and whatever quest you put yourself on has begun. This means that if you need to use the bed then do so first before you do this, otherwise you may do this at any time during your play.

Click on the <Mod Editor> button and in the pop up list of all the mods installed for this save, find the preditor vision mod and check mark it.

Once it is check marked, click the button <Delete Selected Mods Forms>and<Delete Selected Mods Scripts>

Save your game file and exit.

Load up your game and after it loads and starts wait awhile as Skyrim installs Predator Vision. It will be finished once you see the notification that the MCM menu for that mod has been added. If a long time has passed and you fail to see it show up on the MCM, go into console and type
'SetStage SKI_ConfigManagerInstance 1" without the quotation. This will force update all the MCM registered mods for your game.

This procedure should enable Predator Vision to work without having to disable / enable in your mod manager. I do this regularly as I cannot be installing or disabling mods once my game has started because of the sensitive nature of some of my patches.

I have to say, Save game editor tool struggles with heavy modded setups - it just crashes when trying to load such games.
      But don't worry, there's an alternative: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/5031
Don't look that it's in SE game, it works for both LE and SE.

The procedure is pretty much the same - open the save file, select the Predator Vision module right-click and then remove forms & scripts after which save the file.
Tested it with the save that has 10.000+ scripts and 252 modules attached

I just deactivated mod, made a save without it and started it again.
      Worked like a charm.

If it's failing, then double check that you or another mod are not in conflict with it's proper use. LOOT and Vortex are excellent in that department, as well as TES5Edit's auto-clean. Doing a SMASH patch sealing the deal at the end is essential and will iron-out a great deal of other issues as well.

You perform the procedure I described above AFTER your SMASH patch, which is safe in so long as you do this at as near the game's beginning as possible. If you wait well into your play, you run the risk of corrupting your save as well as possibly doing nothing for you in getting this plugin to work.

Loading a game with one of its mod's deactivated is just as risky as removing and adding mods during play; can corrupt your saves especially if you are using a SMASH patch with the mod in question included.

I found that using the game editor to remove targeted mod data from the save and then reloading WITHOUT deactivating it is the safest and cleanest method possible.

IF you do decide to do this, then it would be best to do it as soon as you leave the jail; sooner the better. However, the more mods you have installed in your game, the more likely it is that you'll put your save off-kilter.

What I am finding bizzaare (I know, welcome to modding) is that I have two characters I am playing, alternating days between the two, and on one character I can load the save and Predator vision is working as intended, yet on the other character I load it's save and Predator Vision is not functioning at all. Exact same mod list, everything... Frustrating.... Have tried your method in the past and it works one time and fails another. Same thing with the removing the mod, logging in, saving, reinstalling and logging back in method...

It is a sign of a corrupt saved game. You should wait 24 hours in a small room before you begin the cleaning process.

      1) After 24 hour wait, do a quick save, exit game and reload.
      2) After loading, press [~] and type Save MyGame 1
      3) Game will minimize to the desktop revealing a text file, just close the game out at this point.
      4) Run the save game cleaner by Seifer69er, selecting all three boxes 'Dead NPC's', 'Leveled NPC's' and 'Cells'.
      5) Select your game in the listings and let it perform the task, it saves automatically when exiting.
      6) Run the Save Tool and load up your game, then select the 'FixScriptInstances' button.
      7) save your game when completed.
      8) Load your Skyrim game, after loading press the [~] key and type Save MyGame2 1
      9) As the game exits back to destop, exit the game and relaunch it, loading that save.
      10) As the game finishing loading do a quick save and exit the game yet again.
      11) Relaunch the game and save yet again. That is your final save and you can just play from that point.

These step will help prevent game corruption and can reverse a potential corruption. Just remember to always sleep or wait 24 hours in a small room BEFORE you do this and you should be fine. This is especially true if you're running mods such as Better Vampires.

Other ways to prevent corruptions is to NEVER EVER add or remove mods during a play-through, NEVER mess with it's load order and NEVER update an existing mod that is in play.

For although Skyrim was designed with the intention of adding mods, the way it saves the game is a very delicate process easily broken when you mess around with it's loaded content.

When playing Alternate Start - Live Another Life, you may find that Predator Vision stops functioning and nothing you do gets it working

That's exactly what was happening, I had just finished getting my minor mod list down, and went to use pv after having come back to Lal , it just would not, I'm going why , why, won't you work, what blasted mod is it , not playing nice ><
But removed all my mods fresh install of skyrim and skse,  I think if I use Lal again, I'll be downloading PV after I start in the world, n  see how that goes ...
Also I wondering  if it was also a lal problem of sorts, when I chose to do vanilla start , I got stuck at the scene when ralof is telling me  to " c'mon"
I'm stuck at the chopping block in first person , no matter I tried I could get out it or click on anything like you would with E Sit...
going to post this at  Lal to, mod managers mo2

Do you have the Predator Vision mod loaded as low as possible in your load order?

I keep mine pretty far down there, below vampire mods and others, with Live Another Life being the lowest mod in that order. Well, just before my Smash Patch that is <snickers>

Speaking of Smash, do you use a Smash Patch?

Since creating one myself, I never had issues like that again; mod always works, sometimes without right out of the box too...

No, I( don't use smash patches, Don't know how to create one, LaL on skyrim comments is locked and has been for sometime, as the ma deems skyrim a failing whatsit since sse is coming into own, and wont support the le version anymore, ....
But have re do my tight mod list  I use lal to do the vanilla start, and was able to do it ok this time,  ..
I guess mods just needed to settle a bit , I normally use RoL for alt start Realm of Lorkhan , Pv worked fine in that regardless o.o

This is a great mod and absolutely necessary for all characters, even those that don't want to be werewolves or vampires. Thank you!
