@Pichachu I am not sure. Could be something to do with the contrast settings. I've noticed that if I raise the Imaginator settings too high, I get some weird glowing shadows. But if you upload a screenshot of it, maybe it will help identify the problem.
@nitebird At the moment I use 1.0.8 , but you can use any higher version up to 1.13, (which it was built with), at least. Just experiment and take the .dll which gives you the best performance. I wish I could include the .dll from previous versions to make this easier for users, but as it takes away traffic from his site, I can't share those here.
You need to remove the d3d9.dll from your download. Boris has specifically stated that that file is not to be uploaded anywhere other than his site. Thanks!

@Vuzuul Any ENB setting will affect performance, as it is an extra job for your graphics to render. This only does so at the absolute minimum possible, while still having an effect on the actual game. In most places, you will not notice having this enabled. Where you need those 2.5 extra fps, you can shift+f12, to toggle it off.
