After installing this mod and doing what darkconsole suggested it finally fixed my Breton Male vampire that has been bugging me forever. No more tan skin!
when i saw this mod did not work, i attempted to make my own mod to do it. what i found might be the reason this does not *appear* to work. apparently when you are a vampire the game caches your generated head. i assume this is the reason the face mashing npc in the ruined cistern refuses to work on vampires. however, after i set the default skin colour for vampires to be the palest available, i had to do this to fix the character for good. mine was an imperial so i did:
I thought I might give this a try despite the negative comments below, because honestly, I'm a little over my tanned Breton Vampire (Good job Bethesda, makes me wonder what morons you have over there testing your games/patches before public release).
However like everyone else whom have posted, this doesn't work, I might suggest either taking it down and replacing with a functioning version of this mod or leave it with someone else with the expertise. Because honestly, I really want this fixed.

How is it that you change the default skin tone for the vampires?
player.setrace imperialrace
player.setrace imperialracevampire
bam. skin regenerated to the modded colour.
