Per lore, Falmer armor is supposed to be heavy by default. Why Bethesderp changed this in Skyrim is beyond me, but it was as stupid as removing spears and throwing weapons for no apparent reason...

I know this mod is super old but no one seems to want to touch this armor anymore, I think a heavy version deserves a fuller looking set, with sleeves atleast.

@Crazytoaster snow elves=falmer, like dark elf=dunmer, now if this book was written modern day you would be right, but the book was made during the prime of the falmer, when they were all as we now call snow elves, we call them falmer now because it is believed no un-corrupted falmer still exist, so we believe the distinction is unnecessary, and a much simpler reply, the armor is called ancient falmer armor

I know your comment is like 4 years old but they were still called Falmer even in the old times it's just that in modern times we say snow elves because we know Falmer to be what the ancient falmer call the betrayed.

    Request:
Edit it to have the armor rating's of the Daedric armor
and place it in the Daedric section of the Smithing list

I really want to use this but I am kind of tired of adding new recipe items to my game. It is getting quite cluttered. I may give in :\

I think that the name of the book should be "esoteric snow elf crafting" because the armor is snow elf armor, as it is not made by the falmer. Also add moonstone and other hard metals to the crafting recipe because moonstone is used to temper the regular version. Overall, this is a great mod. it would be really nice to also see the heavy armor version have an appearance change since the armor looks very thin.

For recipe suggestions - Mammoth Tusk + Smelter = Ivory Ingot ... Also Chaurus Chittin.
And maybe Quicksilver because it's rarely used for anything else

Sometimes it's a smaller, simpler mod that can make a game better, and this is one of those mods. Right when I finished Dawnguard as my warrior, I was thinking to myself "Man I really wish this was heavy armor.." Then; behold! I get on the Nexus and you have uploaded this mod.

Thanks for making it dechiridas .

It looks like it can now be downloaded, I've successfully tested it manually and with the manager.
