Here's the sse not quite the same name but its a good guys alt ending , so maybe not same but similar https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/57285
This will be perfect for a new playthrough when I go through the Viligant mod again, although the vanilla quest is a reason enough for my character wanting to get revenge on Molag Bal for being forced to murder a innocent priest.
I have never played an elder scrolls game before, so when I came through this quest I instantly searched for a mod that changed its outcome (that's how I found this page). Anyway, since the first encounter with Logolf I was already feeling some not so good vibes coming from him, so before applying the mod I searched Boethiah on google and found out they are daedric worshipers all the same. He probably deserves to be mauled just for me to grab the mace.
Never mind I found out why it didn't work in that quest bundle because this mod for some reason was not included in that bundle. *smacks himself on the head*
I'm using this mod on the xbox one in a quest bundle and it won't let me drop the rusted mace from my inventory. it keeps saying quest items cannot be removed from inventory.
Playing through as a Vigilant of Stendarr, using the standard Vigilant mods (stendar's beacon, keeper Carcetta, Vigilant SE, Stendarr Rising) and carefully destroying all Daedra, vampires, werewolves etc. Downloaded this mod, installed it using MO2 and unpacking the BSA, opened it in the Creation Kit as the active file, saved the file without changes. Activated the mod. Note I have 600+ mods, many merged, smash patch etc. Loaded this into my SSE at about the 80 hour mark to complete this quest. Ran fine, no problems at all. Wish we could save the initial Vigilant but he went nuts, not me.
So, now I am now moving onwards to play the full Vigilant mod I have heard so much about now that the Daedric quests are all resolved, Harkon and all vamps are dead, Serana is cured, the Companions circle are dead (used a kill any NPC mod to take the inner circle out when they tried to turn me into a werewolf).
So, after I drop the mace the, cage doesn't open up and Logrolf doesn't run away. As a result, the quest is still set to beating Logrolf even though the notification of me disobeying molag bal pops up. To me its not exactly a big problem considering I can just use the setstage command, but I don't know what stage to set it to. So, does anyone know all the stages of the mod or just how to find stages of a quest?
I play on SE and I installed the SE port of this mod from Bethesda net. But it doesn't work because i'm not even able to drop the mace. Was the mod ported properly?
Possibly. Is the plugin an ESL? I had the same issue. I converted this to SE and I made it an ESL at first when I started the quest, and I couldn't drop the mace. I went back and made the mod into a standard esp and I was able to drop the mace, but the cage holding Logrolf never reopened and he was just stuck there. The quest continued normally from there and I was able to get rid of the curse once I prayed to a shrine of Stendarr.
In order to properly turn this into an ESP that is flagged as ESL you have to compact the formids first. If you run the script in xedit that checks on this, you'll see this output for the plugin:
[01] HouseOfHorrorsAlternateEnding.esp Can be turned into ESL by compacting FormIDs first, then adding ESL flag in TES4 header
