Minor correction for that text: "More deadlier" is redundant. "deadlier" already means "more deadly". And similarly "less heavier" should be "less heavy".
I rebalanced it ! The crossbow now deals 175% the normal damage with reduced weight , increased critical damage , stagger is now at maximum . Couldn't increase the reload speed without sacrificing the sound. It is beyond my skills . For now.
300ish damage by itself without even being enhanced by smithing? You just made a god/hack weapon. I mean... right now my crossbow ingame with smithing enhancement gives 140 damage with dwarven enhanced xbow, and 127 with enhanced xbow, not counting enchantments, and only 80 marksman. So this would make it more like 400-500 damage if I enhanced it. I think somewhere more around 140-180 damage base would be appropriate. Then enhancement would be around 200 damage (maybe more, especially if you use the blacksmithing enchanted gear and potions) Try around 30-50 in the damage scales in the CK.
What would be cool is if you could find out how to up the damage when you smack someone in the face with it at close range (you know the RMB attack)
Oh no not more realism, what most people don't know is, that the long was made of horn and animalskins, so it was nearly impossible to reload without a special device. In Skyrim Dragonborn just stretches the long and takes the bolt in, which is unrealistic.

A common tactic for knights was to shoot their crossbow at a charging enemy, then drop it and pull out a sword or other melee weapon.
Also, crossbows were pretty heavy and made of dense materials in order to achieve such high damage.
I wish there was a mod that made crossbows like the real life ones
Would love to hear feedback !

@Darkangel13 i made my crossbow legendary with blacksmithing elixir and other items that enhances my smithing and it only got to 388 .
Also i think i will increase damage only for non-massive characters such as humanoids.
LOL definitely cheating.
