How do you actually make a package? I found some textures for a dog I like, but they aren't in a pack already, so I kind of would like to learn to make my own packs if possible. Is it as simple as putting them in a folder in the program and patching it? Or a bit harder? I've been searching for a guide, but not able to find one.
Nevermind I found a guide after a bit of hunting through the installer for mo.
How exactly would this work for weapons and such? Creating the textures ect shouldn't be too difficult, however, what filenames should they come under? Could I just open up the vanilla data folders and just look it up that way?, or do they use something completely separate?
I wish I could make Monster Mod into an AV pack. =( I'm trying to figure it out/ find one ect..
Can I extract a *.bsa and place it into my C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Skyrim\data\SkyProc Patchers\Automatic Variants\AV Packages and it will patch correctly? I just did this with monster mod and it AV sees it, but the files have different extensions than the other AV packs I downloaded.
I'm attempting to make a pretty comprehensive package for Immersive Creatures, and while I can get AV to retexture NPC's successfully, many of them (draugr and falmer) no longer equip the armor chestpiece in their inventory. Any tips?
I am so irritated. No matter what I do I can't get it to run and it's probably something simple. I've moved the entire SR folder, etc. still nothing but failures.

How i can Update the "Bellyaches Animals AV Package" in version 1.0 from here, to "Bellyaches Animal and Creature Pack" version 1.7 from the author's MOD page ???
I use Paint.NET to fix my textures that don't display. You have to save it as DXT5 in order for it to display in the program. The display code is a 3rd party library I'm using, so I can't tweak the code to work with all DDS files without getting really messy and involved.
how do you make textures ive tried using gimp but when i make them into a package and open the java thingy i can see all the folders but no texture previews.

If you've got questions, solutions, or tips about creating AV Packages, please post away!
Hopefully we can get a collection of good documentation and tips together.
