UPDATED - 20th February 2014 Added new Hearthfire-compatible version (to allow salmon to keep their roe as added by the DLC). Fixed vanilla bug where sabrecats never respawn.
I dont know if your still keeping an eye on this post but I wanna thank you anyway ... I was soooo fed up with those many, many attacks after only20 hours of playing but went on anyway because I really love the game. finding this mod was like an early christmas gift
thank you, thank you, thank you
PS. dont care right now if there are bugs or not ... as long as it works in majority I dont care If I have a quest were it interferes I can justz turn the mod off for that time
i want this mod so bad but the catch and kill text is too immersion breaking. can you make a patch to remove that?
butterfly's are alchemist ingredients, if someone is so absent minded to not know that, than maybe they shouldn't play skyrim, and if they are too sensitive to deal with that, than.... good luck with life, become a vegin and die alone, or in a troll war on some internet forum.
Small issue I found with this mod: when doing the Companions questline, Kodlak's wolf spirit seems to have normal wolf behavious i.e. it runs away. I had to chase the damn thing through the whole dungeon.
Only thing that sucks is when your companion takes off halfway across the cell to chase down a non combatant fleeing wolf, especially when there is something 10x more deadly waiting a dozen paces ahead.
I am so grateful for this mod! Anyone who is familiar with real wolf behavior knows that they don't attack like they do in the game. It always ruined my gaming experience to have to kill these beautiful and misunderstood animals. Yes, I am an animal freak, yes, I know it is just a game; it still feels bad. Also, I hate seeing wolves run down elk, bunnies, etc., (which, yes, they do in real life), but with this mod, if I am close enough, I can run up on the situation and the wolves will run from me, thereby sparing the elk, bunnies, etc. Nice.
As the author did, I also had a problem with the first time I "caught" a butterfly, and realized what I had actually done. I don't know, though, if I like the change that this mod implements relative to that; I am now even more aware of what I am doing, and having a textual reminder each time...I don't know. Regardless of the thing with killing butterflies, etc. (my personal problem, not the fault of this mod!), this is such an excellent and valuable mod, and it works without any issues.
TES are fantasy RPGs; why Bethesda decided to make Skyrim as "realistic" as possible is beyond me. It may be more appealing to a broader audience, but for those of us who have been here since Arena (pixellation notwithstanding, still an outstanding game), some aspects of Skyrim can be disappointing. At least this mod helps to alleviate that in one respect...
Velexia's Animals Are Not Monsters (www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/69934/?) seems more thorough than this mod when viewing the entries in TES5Edit. Its bravery values are a little different, though.
Thanks for the pointer. My mod predates Velexia's by several years, and I wasn't aware of the newer mod's existence. Always good to have alternatives...some may prefer Velexia's, some may prefer mine.
I have Velexia's mod, and I still get attacked all the time. The animals do growl first before jumping on me, but they generally do seem to attack anyway. They certainly don't run away as I would think they should. I'll try this mod next.
how about the opposite? Killer butterflies and bunnies? the way skyrim was built, being attacked by everything anyway. This mod should make things MORE realistic

Good on you for attempting to fix this stupid s#*! that Skyrim did.

(Sorry)
Is this issue dealt with?
