If it does affect the performance then I will reduce the texture resolution. I will try to add some pictures soon. Havn't been on skyrim for 2 days now.
I was braced for another mountain butcher job and pleasantly surprised with the screen shots. Will have to give it a go, hope it looks as good in game too. Thanks for sharing.
I just tried the brighter version and it does seem a bit odd compared to the normal version, like there is too much highlighting, I'll stick with the normal version for now.
I have noticed one issue in general, the mid ground LOD rocks still use the old grey texture and then fade to the modded texture as you approach, I've put a few screens on imageshack.

You need to copy the lod folder to: SkyrimDataextures
and i think, i hopefuly find the greatest one imo. works without any problems.
the dark textures goes very well with the game setting too.

@Wubbledee: I made a slightly brighter version, not sure though if its too bright now. Let me know what you think
