If it does affect the performance then I will reduce the texture resolution. I will try to add some pictures soon. Havn't been on skyrim for 2 days now.

@tekeli: Sorry, I forgot to add a install instruction. I added one to the main description now.

You need to copy the lod folder to: SkyrimDataextures

i have tryed every rock and mountain mod until now.

and i think, i hopefuly find the greatest one imo. works without any problems.

the dark textures goes very well with the game setting too.

    greate job.

I was braced for another mountain butcher job and pleasantly surprised with the screen shots. Will have to give it a go, hope it looks as good in game too. Thanks for sharing.

I just tried the brighter version and it does seem a bit odd compared to the normal version, like there is too much highlighting, I'll stick with the normal version for now.

I have noticed one issue in general, the mid ground LOD rocks still use the old grey texture and then fade to the modded texture as you approach, I've put a few screens on imageshack.

http://img204.imageshack.us/img204/3280/lightst.jpg - notice the grey rocks on the left of Whiterun.

http://img847.imageshack.us/img847/6223/darkvl.jpg - they fade to the darker rocks eventually.

Keep up the good work, I'll keep checking it out, endorsed.

@p6kocka: I confirmed your screenshots, they are visible under images -> Users

@Wubbledee: I made a slightly brighter version, not sure though if its too bright now. Let me know what you think
