Good for you, Wolverine! Getting things centralized like this was a great idea.

have you thought about doing an AV package for dragon textures? ive seen a few decent ones and i think it would add some much heeded variety to that aspect of the game.

ones ive seen so far are

    Masas Organic Dragons (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/1953)
    DnDish Dragon Textures (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/1372)
    Vibrant Dragons (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/639)

I thought about making an AV pack myself, but i have no idea what a .json file is or how to create one.

Your AV packs are all awesome, and i have downloaded and endorsed them all (except this one coincidentally lol)

      Thanks for the kind words.
I have considered/tried Dragons in the past but did not succeed. Also other ppl have tried. They are a bit special (just like horses) and use the same .dds filename for different dragons. Dragons use colors for the different type of dragons. Also its a bit unclear if Leviathan1753 has to explicitly add support for Dragons in AV. He's currently working on items/meshes/armor support. The best thing to do is to ask this question in the AV forum. If its supported and someone can tell me how to create them I'm willing to create AV packs for them (if mod authors give permission of course).

You don't need to have knowledge about .json files etc. Since AV 1.5 (Nexus release) there is a 'create AV package' button in AV. Only my last AVP I've done this way. The others are created by just using copy/paste of existing AV packs and then inserting the needed .dds files. If you need more information I'm glad to help you further. There is no such thing as having to many AV packages.

@Fatalpipe/ Your welcome. Nice to see that is works now. I admit I'm confused what went wrong and why it does work now. I mean you wrote you had problems with the " character in the Skyrim console or was that not the case.

New AV packages. I'm NOT any longer searching the Nexus actively for texture mods, way to time consuming and I play a lot of STALKER now. I've asked multiple times in the AV forum and thread if ppl know of mods which can be AV-tized. If so I would be willing to create AVP's for them. Did not receive a response..... So I guess the chance for new AVP's is slim. I've recently received permission from an author who had left the Nexus but has returned which read my request and granted permission. So at least one AVP will see the light of day at some point. I've also a 6-7 Spriggans (can be added to an existing AVP) but they only work with AV 1.6. So when a new official AV is out I will add those to. In case you have suggestions for mods I would be very interested in hearing from you ;-)

@wolverine2710: Thank you very much for your response.I think I was too "OMG,what now?!" on the moment I wrote that.I managed to open your bat files and realized that they automatize some commands... So i tested myself on single normal console commands in game and AV and packages (yours included) works beautiful!! A must have!
Thanks for your hard and great work, and support!!

(Are there many other textures on nexus,so,do you plan to make more packages?)

@late response. Ppl very very rarely post here. I play S.T.A.L.K.E.R now and I don't check this forum every day. I check the AV forum and AV thread daily but just seem to forget this one. If only Nexus would send me an email. I apologize for this. Have send Fatalpipe and technowizard79 a PM to let them know I've answered there questions here.

@technowizard79. Indeed strange because it works for me and almost all other ppl. I could do what you did but could make a mistake in the process. As you have it working now can you perhaps send me your converted AVP. I will then replace my AVP with yours. This should hopefully solve the problem once and for all.

@Fatalpipe. Do you perhaps have the following behaviour. "in Windows, when I type a single double quote, no character is displayed. If I type another character, the apostrophe and the next character appear at the same time. This happens with double quotes ("), apostrophes (') and tilde (~).". I had this problem also AND it caused that I could not enter a " character in the Skyrim console. I solved it by using this Url: http://superuser.com/questions/122625/apostrophes-and-double-quotes-dont-show-up-until-i-type-the-next-letter. Number seven solved my problem. Its the second person who responded. This could give you problems in windows because you have a different layout keyboard but perhas just enabling it for just Skyrim solves your problem. On my keyboard the " character is next to the big "ENTER/RETURN" key. As an alternative you could download my older batch files. The don't require the " characters but you are missing a few NPC's then and it will clutter your Skyrim dir a bit more. You could add the missing NPC's of course ;-)

Well,I've just realized that just like @InfernusUnguis ,I cant put the " (Double Quotes) character on console...
I'm sure everything is right, your instructions are pretty clear,I think maybe this is an keyboard issue... Because my keyboard is Brazilian Portuguese (pt-BR ABNT2), I need to hold shift and press ' ( shift + ' ) key (left side of 1 key, below ESC key) to have ",but instead it just closes the console...
I think it is the same issue that InfernusUnguis had...

I seem to not be alone in that I have a Falmer texture that is invisible. I don't know WHICH falmer it is, but after looking through the AV skin list, I found 1 falmer which I believe I never actually saw in game (likely, because he's the invisible Falmer I've been seeing). I am led to believe this is the skin in question.

I think it's FalmerVar01 in the Multiple Authors pack. Probably something with the compression or something when he saved the skin. I don't know.

::Edit:: Yep, I was right. I opened the texture, copied the texture out, made a new file and compressed it with DXT5 compression. Long story short: I fixed the texture myself. If you want the fixed texture file, let me know. Anyone using the Multiple Authors skin pack will have the odd invisible falmer without it.

Alternatively you can safely tell people to just disable said FalmerVar01 texture to avoid the glitched (invisible) texture from being chosen by AV.

@Narmix. We are talking about the same thing. Apparently you have created an private AVP with that odd falmer because in the AVP I provide it already is compressed with DXT5 (using .paintnet and saved as DXT5 with mipmaps). I had to do this because otherwise it won't show up in the AV GUI (can't handle uncompressed .dds files). I did NOT know nor did I experience that that odd falmer does NOT show up in AV its original form. Is this what your telling me?

@Wolverine - I can confirm Narmix's invisible texture issue with a Falmer (could see his armor & weapon, but not the nasty little bugger himself), and troubleshot it to the very same FalmerVar01\falmerm.dds file myself before coming here. I'm not using a special or custom AV texture pack (though technically I am now! <img class=">), and the pack is from your file posting. Also, following Narmix's advice fixed the problem for me. I used Nvidia DDS Utilities to fix the dds file by first converting it to an uncompressed bitmap file, and then recompressing it back to a DXT5 compressed dds file. After that the texture displayed just fine! No clue as to why a few of us are running into this problem, while others like yourself are displaying it just fine... either way, it does definitely appear to be a real bug of some sort!

@ bedlambob. I apologize upfront for the reaction. Had some RL issues and I rarely receive postings here. Hence I forgot to check my mod pages. This BTW is the only one which has a forum (actually there are two because I forgot to disable it and couldn't remove it later). OK on the you questions.

AV packages (AVP) conists ONLY of textures (and later meshes when AV supports it. An AVP does NOT have an .esp file. Only AV itself has one esp file.

Yes you can combine ALL packages into one large one. You can create an 'large AVP' (LAVP) which contains the contents of ALL AVP's. There is only one catch. Suppose multiple AVP's have a a draugr variant called 'draugrvar01'. If you copy everything into the LAVP one or more variants are overwritten. Simply rename one of the draugr variants and you are fine. If you need more help I'm glad to assist.

I will also send you a PM with this message.
