Hello There! Be sure to read the description fully before commenting here and please search this thread for answers before posting the same question. Be as through as possible when reporting an issue, using a clean save and checking if the bug is a repeatable consistent problem and turning off/on mods in your load order to see if it's a mod compatibility issue. Thanks!
Yes! It is actually recommended that you install this before starting the DB quest or before your first time entering the Dawnstar Sanctuary!
I am aware that sometimes the NPC's run around using doors...this is a problem that seems to be a part of Skyrim itself (or perhaps the Hearthfire DLC) I DID create and finalize the navmesh correctly. If you're knowledgeable on this subject and want to offer advice on how to mitigate this, shoot me a PM.
I am aware Post-quest installers can sometimes still see objects that were disabled in this mod. The fix is to pop open the console and "disable" or "markfordelete" the object.
Yes... Babette can sometimes not wear shoes. If I figure out why this is the case, I'll come back and fix the bug.
Yes... Kohanrik's mask doesn't visually show on his respective bust, but it does work.
Missing Master Bedroom Wall For anyone having the trouble with missing walls in the Master Bedroom, this appears to be a load order issue. I cannot tell you exactly what mods would be causing this issue. Just move this mod much further down in your load order and the problem will correct itself. This is also a possible solution for any random floating objects. (Vortex Users: Since it doesn't allow for easy drag & drop reordering, for testing you should be able to use Wyre Bash or almost any other mod manager to -just- change the load order to see if it fixes the problem. If it does I guess you can apply a rule in Vortex or/and report the issue to LOOT.)
TES5Edit This mod has been cleaned. This mod also uses modders resources for props and custom storage containers, one of which causes TES5Edit to report an error. This error is a display issue and will not hurt your game.
2020 Edit: Patch collection for SSE: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/34909 There is no patch collection for LE that I know of.
VVE or RDO is NEEDED for the Khajiit and Argonian female initiates to follow you.
It should. I made this towards the end of original Skyrims update cycle, and bethesda was moving on to Special edition. I've been out of the community for a while now, but if nothing drastic has changed then everything should be stable.
when i go near the sanctuary in dawnstar, my game crashes every time. is there a fix or something that could be wrong? (i downloaded the mod at a new save btw)
Are you sure? Because TomTesoro wrote this in the mod description: "Compatibility: Compatible with Save the Dark Brotherhood, so long as you install and play that first seeing how it happens before the questline ends. Not compatible with any mods that change or overhaul the Dawnstar Sanctuary and the Falkreath Sanctuary (called Dark Brotherhood Sanctuaryin-game.) Not compatible with any mods that make major story changes to the Dark Brotherhood after the main Dark Brotherhood questline. Not compatible with any mods that make major changes to the NPCs Nazir and Babette. Not compatible with any mods that move the location of the Night Mother. Not compatible with any mods that change the way the Dark Brotherhood eviction system works (if any.) Compatible with Dark Brotherhood for the Good Guys." That being said I haven't checked them on TES5Edit yet.
Well, that's the main reaosn I'm asking lol. I did see TomTOsoro's description but TES5EDIT shows a few conflicts only. I;m no expert so not sure if those few comflicts are actually major problems.
@alfredini I thank you kindly for your answer even though I wasn't actually talking to you. I posted what TomTesoro wrote in his mod description to inform aluckymuse that there could be conflicts between the two mods. I'm aware aluckymuse can't know if his/her mod will have conflicts with every other single mod out there or not. And as anyone else has reported conflicts between the two of them I thought it could be a good idea to let him/her know about this description in case someone else asks him/her a question like yours. I really want to try The Brotherhood Of Old but I have a stable heavily modded Skyrim and don't add any new mods unless I am completely sure it won't conflict with the ones I've already have. Sometimes making a patch with TES5Edit can resolve the issue but that's not always the case. I imagine you must be like me and that's why you made your question in the first place. Anyway I just wanted to clarify I wasn't making any snarky comment about your post and my purpose, as I've already stated, was informative.
It's all good, no worries. I didn't take your answer the wrong way, even found it enriching to my original question. I'm not that good with TES5EDiT. I can make a patch but only of the little things I'm familiar with. In this case I saw only a few conflicts, but now sure how important they might be. That I would like to know.
I'll chime in here. The reason it's not compatible is because of things that are moved that would interfere with scenes in some quests. A patch would need to be made.
Hi there! I've got a question - the suggestion here is to install the mod before completing the Dark Brotherhood questline. I have only been kidnapped by Astrid and never even visited the very first sanctuary - given that it's so early, does it still count as a Pre-Questline installation?
Different flavor. After learning about the lore of the dark brotherhood the torture just for tiny piles of cash didn't really make sense. I changed them to lying on beds since they are now used as a blood bank for dark brotherhood members or their blood could be sold.
I like this mod very much. I only have an issue with placing the masks in the cellar. if i place a mask and then take it away the item vanishes. its not in my inventory and not on the "Mannequin". Is there a way to solve this issue?
I'm not sure what the problem is there. Behind the scenes, The mannequin is wearing what is in a chest you deposit the items into. So when you are taking the item back you are taking it out of that chest and it should go right into your inventory.
