For me he always takes his sweet time to walk into the store and unlock it. Everyone else in Whiterun is already open at 8:00 and then like three hours later, Belethor just casually walks and takes the scenic route to the back door of his shop and eventually unlocks it and I always have to bite my tongue and not kill the lazy bastard.
It would be nice to mention in the description that this fix was added in USKP, as this mod would mostly be interesting for those who do not want the whole USKP.
the bug is much bigger than we think. If you leave his shop while he is speaking he will follow you which will cause him to lock his shop. It happened at the Falkreath General Store too sadly... Edit: Oops, I meant to add a comment, not reply. But oh well... ^^;

No. The store gets locked at 8pm and unlocks when Belethor re-enters his shop during his work cycle around 8am.
