Whoops looks like I forgot to mention I was going on hiatus, my bad. It wasn't so much that I got bored with Skyrim, but got frustrated with the light source limitations. They were causing lighting glitches on walls and the ground etc. in certain situations, which were preventing me from doing everything that I wanted.
I know the mod Enhanced Lights and FX by anamorfus ended up getting around a lot of those issues, via mesh edits I believe, but by that stage I considered my mod to be to obsolete. Plus messing with meshes was more work than I was willing to do.
Is that including any corrections/optimisations for Hearthfire? I want to install your mod because I noticed some issues with the lighting on the main hall of Falkreath - Lakeview Manor which comes with that dlc. I added some chandeliers and sconces but some of them doesn't seem to work. Only installed enb to fix some shadow glitches, did not applied any mod/fix other than that. Thanks in advance.
great mod, exactly what i was looking for. though i have a huge problem, for i can't make this mod run, always get CTD when i enable this mod. currently using the rcrn + lanterns version. placed it at the bottom of my load order, but still doesn't work. any ideas?
Hi sorry for the late reply. Hmm... that is strange, as long as you have the required mods installed and enabled, and have VELF loading after them, Skyrim shouldn't be crashing. The only thing I can think of is that there must be a mod conflict. Though I'm not aware of any which would cause a CTD on start up. Would you be able to PM me your load order, so that I can investigate it?
EDIT: One more thing, have you tried the plain non-RCRN version? If so does the CTD still occur?
Taken from my mod description "Volrath Enhanced Lights and Fixes primary aim is to add missing lights to light sources, as well as adjusting vanilla light placements, etc. to better reflect the light source giving of the light." So yes my mod does fix misplaced lights, where possible. Though it's likely I haven't fixed them all yet. As far as miscoloured lights are concerned, I can't recall seeing anything as off as you've shown in your screenshot. That being said, if I was to come across anything off, like what you've shown I would certainly be fixing it. I'll take a look at that spot you've shown, to see what's going on. It's possible that I've already fixed it, if not I will.
I'd also like to note that any lights I add, I try to keep the colouring in line with other similar light sources within the area.
EDIT: Had a look at that spot, and yeah I can see what Bethesda has done. I'll certainly fix that, thanks for bringing it to my attention.
Does this mod change the light sources for existing lights that are misplaced or miscolored? Like there's tons of occasions where roof chandeliers has its lightsource placed below instead of above the thing which makes the shadow it cast paint onto the roof instead of the ground. There's also cases of where lights are completely different despite originating from similar sources like http://i.imgur.com/JtUsl27.jpg
I went and looked through the other lightning mods like relighting skyrim and enhanced lights but neither of those seems to do the job.
Well then, @_Volrath_. If you can disable your interior edits, so be it. That would be great. Your mod is great and helps so much in the outdoor areas.

Edit: Looks that way, 10 months and no response lol.

Any ETA for Dragonborn DLC version ?

Thanks, it would definitely be much appreciated
Yes I do plan on doing DLC locations, just haven't got that far yet.
By the way, do you have any plans for doing so for the locations added via DLC?
