I haven't check in a long time, but I think Script Dragon is still SO out of date and buggy... While I HAVE used this mod semi-successfully in the past, there really HAS to be a better option by now...
I want to be able to push number 1 once and draw 2 upgraded swords of my choice at the same time. Push number 2 draw my bow (which is obviously easily done using just plain game controls), push number 3 and draw a single dagger dual daggers is fine if I must.
At this stage if I can with a bit of fiddling draw two swords out with one key, but when I try to draw the dagger I still wind up with one sword equipped in the other hand. So its not realy set up the way I was wanting. Because it should unequip the two swords and draw a single dagger with nothing in the other hand. I am using dual wield parry mod so that might be effecting it, will have to test.
Can anyone tell if this mod can achieve that desired result in some way, if not I will try to find another solution, If so anyone have some easy instructions on using this mod cause I'm a total layman and can't workout what I'm suppose to do to make it work.
This is a great mod! Just some issues I've encountered (R/LH= right/left hand): 1. When having a weapon in RH and a spell in LH and then swapping, the weapon switches to LH but the spell unequips and RH is empty. Personally I don't find too much of an issue with it, b/c if I'm using spells I'm usually either dual-casting or have the spell in LH with a sword in RH. But I thought it was still noteworthy, as some people might use spells in RH and swords in LH. 2. Is there a way to get rid of those "weapon was equipped/unequipped" notifications? I can't find a way to turn them off. Thanks!
A rather pointless waste of coding effort, if you right click a weapon, (or left trigger on a controller) it will equip the weapon into your offhand.
On screen information already told you this as well, I hear reading is pretty tough though. Good effort, but unfortunately already provided by vanilla systems.
Unless of course I'm missing something here.
The whole point of this is to not use the the menus in game to achieve two weapons equipped in both hands, because right now if you have an enchanted or upgraded (or both) weapon you can't press the same button twice to equip it in both hands like you would with a spell. It will just replace the right hand weapon. This script offers a way to put your right hand weapon into your left hand, then equip another weapon into your right hand with out interrupting combat. So yes, you are indeed missing something.
To configure the .ini file for a custom hotkey, the key is defined in one of the first lines "key=...". Search the list of key codes lower down in the file for the key you want, then enter its code for "key=". For example, the default, home, key is "key=0x24". The "Z" key is "key=0x5A".
I've found that with two weapons of identical base item, regardless of renamed or improved, I must equip them in a certain order which was experimentally determined. One, swap, Two. For some reason the other order will show two weapons equipped, but will really only have one, then when you go to equip the second, after swapping, it unequips both.
I can't get this to work even after using the ScriptDragon_1.8.151.0 I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong but I did follow Script Dragon direction's. So far as mapping goes i have tried mapping left hand to key 1 and right hand to key 2 and it wont hold both weapons unless i use the menu. Any advise would be appreciated.
Finally!!! This has been the most irritating aspect of the game. Going to a hotkey heal..then back to hotkey dual wield..I have to go into my inventory during battles and equip my left hand. Is this a bug or is that how they made it? Thanks for this though!!
