Lucubration thank you so much for this mod! When the Unofficial Legendary Patch removed the ability to improve the Ebony Blade I almost gave up on using it. But your mod and it’s options work just fine, even though their a little old.
I can’t stand people who say you couldn’t make the Ebony Blade better, when I know otherwise.
I work with blades of all kinds and I know you don’t need to alter the blade itself to make it more effective. You can coat the blade, or you alter the balance and stability of the blade by adding removable pieces. Doing things like that can easily improve the effectiveness of a cutting edge without altering the blade directly. People have been modifying their blades like that for thousands of years.
Anything that stabs, chops, slices, slashes can be improved without heating or grinding!
From a shiv you get in a mine to a daedric artifact you steal from a wizard, they can all be improved!
Those idiot people that say there’s no way to improve a certain blade have obviously never seriously used a blade in their entire lives. They should keep their mouths shut and ask someone who knows about blades if they want to make them “more accurate”.
This is great! I love the one handed version. Now I don't have to change my gauntlets to two-handed ench, every time i want to use it. I consoled myself the version that allows me to attack friendly npc's without them reacting... and every time I kill a hostile npc with it my horse and housecarl go crazy and start trying to kill me haha. Took me forever to figure out it was the sword. Probably not the mod tho, it's probably why beth went with the other version. So I'll just stick with the original, or maybe see if I can find an unenchanted version. Anyway Thanks for the mod!
Great mod, seems to be the only one of its kind. I think the base damage is perfectly fine, but the blade itself is far too heavy! At the moment in my game its doing the same amount of damage as a skyforge steel greatsword but it weighs almost as much as Wuuthrad!
I use the 2hd version without smithing, and I have perked heavily into the two-handed tree if this information helps at all.
This is a very outdated mod. Be careful with such old mods, many aren't even compatible with the game anymore, or "fix" things that have since then been corrected by Bethesda or the USKP.
