DESCRIPTION
*******************************************************************

This config is designed to boost your framerate while maintaining a
decent visual experience.

It mainly targets people with low-end computers who are not able to
play the game smoothly at lowest settings.

What it basically does is disabling shadows, reflections, clouds
and grass, decreasing LOD and view distance, lowering texture
resolution and implementing plenty of other tweaks to improve
overall performance and memory usage.

Despite the fact that most settings in this CFG are already set to
the lowest possible value, feel free to tweak any of them to your
liking with the help of the provided documentation.

If you have any suggestions, questions or feedback, please visit
http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/19359 and post your thoughts.

Enjoy!
- Genesis

WARNING

I don't recommend tweaking settings in this config until they are
not documented.
This config is also not made for people willing to play the game at
medium settings and higher. You should rather edit your own config
according to the documentation provided in this one.
You might also experience more crashes to desktop when using this
config, please ensure your CTDs are actually caused by this config
if you are using other mods before asking for help.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
*******************************************************************

Backup the Skyrim.ini and SkyrimPrefs.ini files from your Skyrim
profile directory, similar to the path below :

%MyDocuments%\My Games\Skyrim\

Place the Skyrim.ini and SkyrimPrefs.ini files from this archive
into your Skyrim profile directory, override existing files if
necessary.

I recommend setting these files as read-only before running Skyrim
to ensure they won't get overriden.
However, by doing so, any changes you will make to Skyrim settings
ingame will not be saved (except controls).

REMOVAL INSTRUCTIONS
*******************************************************************

Delete the Skyrim.ini and SkyrimPrefs.ini files from your Skyrim
profile directory.

Restore your backed up Skyrim.ini and SkyrimPrefs.ini files.

Question :

I can't load my saved games anymore, what can I do ?

Answer :

Every saved game is bound to the uGridsToLoad, which is something
that basically defines how many game world cells around the player
that must be loaded into memory.
When loading saved games bound to higher uGridsToLoad values than
the current one, the game crashes to desktop.
In order to be able to load your saved games, you have to follow
these steps for every saved game :

1) Open Skyrim.ini and find the "uGridsToLoad" setting at the top.
2) Keep altering its value and trying to load your saved game.
3) When your saved game is loaded, go to an interior cell.
4) Open console using the tilde ~ key, type "pcb", hit "Enter".
5) Alt-TAB out of game, alter ugridstoload to 5 (game default) in
the open Skyrim.ini and save the INI.
6) Alt-TAB back into game (sometimes takes two tries), open game
console again and type "refreshini".
7) Not done yet! Now go adjust ANYTHING in the ingame Display
Settings (make a slider movement) this is so that your ini and
ingame settings match. It does not matter if you actually make
a setting change, just make movement so the game says "Saving..."
when you tab out of menus.
8) Save game. Reload Skyrim.
