This is a great tutorial, though lacking in the depth that I require (as a beginner in scripting). I think I understand it all, but I'm looking for an 1-10steps kind of tutorial that will help me to create my skill. I'm trying to create a crafting skill with 100 levels and various perks (I have the crafting station and the recipes). I have made it through the planning stage. I understand some of the very basic things about the scripts you have written; which bits are notes, which bits show up in game as messages, but the rest is just a blur of lines that I don't understand. Any additional help anyone can provide will be much appreciated.
So, a year later (really? Wow, it's been crazy.) I finally get back to this. And I realize I'm totally lost. This is the problem with being an uber-noob, but I can't figure out how to even view the scripts you've included. If you're still around and wouldn't mind pointing me in the right direction, you could PM me. :x
Dude! I could kiss you...This is seriously one thing I'll need to make my mod. When I"m not falling asleep on my keyboard, I'll check it out, and if I learn anything (which I should!), I'll come endorse you.
A bit too inebriated to try this out at the moment, but this might be fun to try out all the ideas I had for a sneaky hand to hand toon that aren't incorporated in your way of the monk mod. I'll let you know how things go!
