The paintings themselves are tilted forward for a couple reasons.
1. So they are more realistic being hung from a string as paintings used to be done in reality. 2. So they can be tilted back to hide the string and nail if you prefer the modern look.
#2 does not work on double sided walls that are paper thin. use the custom texture version and add an alpha channel to the texture where the string and nail is then add the alpha channel properties to the nif. Done string and nail removed, just tilt back to fit the wall.
Textures do not have to be the same size such as 512x512 they can be any size following the standard. 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, 512, 1024, 2048, 4096, 8192 etc etc. I used the low end for Skyrim as an example. 768 is 512 + 256. So if you do a 4096 panoramic you will want 4096x3072. Perfectly acceptable for texture dimensions.
Very nicely done. Thank you! Your instructions on the home page are very clear. This is important, because (as you note) Nifscope gives results that look odd but work perfectly in-game. I've looked at a few other painting mods, but yours is by far the easiest to use.
Yes you can! For me it's ok as long as you mention my name as the original author in the mod's description. I must inform you though that this mod contains some mod resources made by other modders. If your intention is to upload the mod on another site other than Nexus, you must ask for permission from the other authors too. The other authors that you must ask their permission are:

Not quite sure what you are asking? If you want to use my painting resource in a mod you are free to do so. Once you use the resource and have it in the game then the permisions for your mod will apply. I just do not want the resource file itself hosted everywhere.
*Edit, Almost a year later I now know what you are asking and why. Another mod is being allowed to be used as a resource and the author marked me as an author that also requires permission for use.
The permissions of this resource stand when they are used by another mod that the other author has marked as free to use.
Thanks very much for making this available, I was dreading the thought of making a painting mesh or trying to make a messy frame out of vanilla content.
@Mershaullk, they are default loading screen models. I am not able to access the CK to say where, but they are there. They dont include the base they are standing on, thats a static chopping block.
@eltesco, the link is set for hidden by you. I would love to see it.
Not to stray off-topic, but where did you get those figurines from the first screenshot? I wouldn't mind having a few of those lying around Vlindrel Hall.
