Not sure why my Heavy elven armor set is weaker than the elven armor in the game already. Is their some kind of bug or something? Idk if adding mods makes this happen or not but yeah, this set became obsolete.

Perhaps you have a mod that increases the armor value of the normal Elven set, but it wouldn't know about this mod's set without a patch.

I reeeeeaally love this mod. It's a shame you've (author) moved on from Skyrim modding becuase I was going to express my overwhelming desire to see a heavy version of the Dawnguard Ancient Falmer set as well, which as far as I know does not exist.

Yeah, sorry, I can't see myself choosing to do that.

Would you consider adding a crafting recipe?

Sorry for the very late reply. I've moved on from Skyrim to ESO, so I am no longer updating this mod.

I'm not really sure why you would want the Elven armour to be heavy, considereing you get the elven armour pretty early on in the smithing tree, and if you know you want to use Elven you could just base your character around light armour. I'm not trolling, I actually really like the texture job on this one, subtle but quite nice.

I see where you're coming from. However, I'd personally like to see light and heavy versions of every tier. Sure some materials are inherently lighter or heavier per volume, but that doesn't mean you can't craft light or heavy styled armour from it. Chainmail is heavier than plate in reality, but it's classed as light in game. I think actual weight went out the window a long time ago. It seems to be purely based on style.

I can get the armor, gauntlets and boots to become like this http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/3121/? by copying the texture files in this other mod and replacing your textures but after some experimentation it looks like your Heavy Elven helmet and shield relies on the vanilla helmet and shield so the only way for me to change that is to change the vanilla helmet and shield which is unfortunate because I wanted the armors to look different.

Otherwise a great mod and I must say the original textures is great enough but sometime you just want to change it up, so do you think you could change how the mod reads the helmet and shield?

The reason I didn't use a custom texture for the helmet and shield is because Jahga didn't make them, and that's what this mod is based off of. I will consider doing something like what you're asking for.

Well, if you know what you're doing, you could overwrite the files that come with this mod by copying textures and renaming the path. But yeah, it's not designed for that, sorry.

Is there anyway you can have the Heavy Armor look like this http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/634//? as an add on or a second version for the players I have that mod and the armor looks real nice and such. Other than that the armor is awesome now my Half Elf can have a complete set.

You can do this by hand. Go to your skyrimDatatextures folder and find the the HeavyElven folder. Open up the rar file for the moonstone armor and click into the textures folders til you find the one called "elven" and then move whatever is inside there into the HeavyElven folder that you've already got. It should ask you about overwriting a bunch of files. Say Yes. This should let your armor look like the moonstone armor from the mod.

If you're worried about getting it right, you may want to create a backup first.

As it says in the description, this mod is based on: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/10756

However, I altered it to use more plate mail.

great idea. i wish it was craft-able thou. crafting something is much better than spending so much for it. but its a great idea. ill come back to this mod if it ever comes out in craft-able wear. may even see me endorse if it does.

Kitwi: your wish is my command! I have uploaded a version where some Thalmor NPCs will wear the new armor. Since it's pretty powerful, you have to be at least level 5 for it to show up in the leveled lists, and after that it's random.

Bicycle: Maybe ask all of the people who have downloaded it <img class=">But the reason I made it is because I wanted to be nice.
