This was fixed in the Unofficial Skyrim Patch, making this mod obsolete. http://afkmods.iguanadons.net/index.php?/topic/3636-mods-made-obsolete-by-unofficial-patches/
thanks for this fix, made my latest character possible... i used the console to spawn the Helgen headsman next to me, killed him and looted all his stuff, took his identity, and executed everyithing in Skyrim that moved. The End lol
Thank god, I finally found this darn thing after leveling up to 60 in two-handed only to be terribly disappointed when i found out it'd only do 20 something damage for me. Glad you made this! Maybe that patch will fix this tomorrow though.
Hmm... well, I suppose that's a point. I'll see about adding an upgrade recipe for it tonight, and I'll see if I can't make sure it registers with the "Steel Smithing" perk for extra upgrade power.
Edit: It looks like it's already considered Iron. It's a personal peeve of mine that Iron/Leather/etc doesn't register with the Steel Smithing perk, but I won't fix that here since it already has a material type. Instead, check out my "Legendary Smithing Upgrades" mod which will fix this for all Iron, Leather, Hide, and plenty of other items (so I don't duplicate that modification between the two plugins).
I am looking into adding a tempering recipe for it now, though.
Nah, this isn't a rebalancing mod, it's just a bug fix. Besides, most any old weapon can become uber by just using Smithing to upgrade it, and a difference in the base damage will be trivial at higher values.

It should be mentioned in the description.

Just sayin'.
Great little fix here
Like I've said on allot of other mods: the small little fixes make all the difference
