This is a great mod but I seem to be having a problem with the seat outside the sleeping giant inn, if I sit on it I end up facing inward so that I see inside the inn & I end up having to walk out through an empty cell. None of the NPCs sit on seat either. Any ideas on how to fix it?
I came back to this mod again after a Skyrim reinstall, and it is a lovely mod that definitely needs a update for SSE.
As far as how this works in Oldrim... Yeah, there's a seating bug as this mod introduced/replaced that bench seat outside the inn. Thankfully, I've not noticed any other major bugs though, and the mod appears to be quick stable though low-end PCs may see some FPS drops.
I was able to use console commands to resolve the bench problem from within the game itself. If anyone's wondering how to do that, here's the gist: 0. Press F5 to quicksave your game. 1. Stand in front of the bench, and click tilde ("`") to open the console. With the mouse, click on the bugged bench and type: "disable" (without quotes) in the console. If you did it right, the bench will disappear. 2. Type: markfordelete This will remove the bench permanently from your savegame. Don't worry, we're getting a replacement! 3. Type: help bench 4. Scrolling through the console output, you should see the itemcode for the bench. Note it down (I'm simply aliasing it here as "xxx" now). Now the following is the tricky part. 5. Come out of the console (tilde key again). Stand where the bench used to be, and make your your as close to the wall as possible, and staring straight forward, with your eye level perpendicular to the floor. 6. Type: player.placeatme xxx 1 where xxx is the actual itemcode you noted earlier. Close the console. 7. If you did it all right, and once you should see the new bench appear now. 8. If it's placement is not satisfactory, use the Jaxonz Positioner mod (if you have it) to rearrange the bench, otherwise press F9 to quickload and redo these steps once again.

This mod goes very well with few other mods I can recommend: 1. "Glorious Environments: Riverwood" (adds some beautiful waterfalls and lovely trees & landscaping around Riverwood) 2. "Rivershack" (gives a beautiful hermit home just outside Riverwood and works very well with above mod), OR "Hunters Cabin of Riverwood - Extended" (a very beautiful Hunting lodge - but it may clash with the waterfall added by Glorious Env mod) 3. "Beginner's Shack" (from the Steam workshop, which adds a tiny bunkbed shelter beside the lumber saw-mill - perfect for starter character!) 4. "Forties Riverwood Fishing Shack" (cute little fishery shack) OR "River Estate" (Dragonborn-worthy estate manor near Riverwood) OR "Grillis Home Riverwood".
You may need to disable a few trees via the console, if using some of these mods together.
