Hi, I just recently (finally) upgraded memory to 8GB so I could take advantage of some better textures, and appearance mods. Actually, I googled for skyrim 8GB tweaks which lead me to http://www.rcrncommunity.com/five-quick-skyrim-tweaks-you-may-not-know and I started following the recommendations. I know this may or may not be your recommendations, but just thought I would share some conflicting information about the memory optimization section on that page. Thankfully, after making the tweaks, SKYUI picked up on it and alerted me upon game start, which lead me to a link ( https://github.com/schlangster/skyui/wiki/SkyUI-Errors#wiki-ERR_INI_PAPYRUS ) where I was able to get the lowdown as well as a few supporting info links. This setting is for stack size used by Papyrus instead of memory used by the game. Could actually be detrimental by robbing the game of memory due to allocating more than is needed. I think it said the most it would use is 2GB, but still, that's a waste of memory if it is not being used. At most, probably doubling the 75kb default stack size on a script heavy load order might help. I wonder what settings you recommend for iMaxAllocatedMemoryBytes under the Papyrus section of Skyrimprefs.ini ?

"Increasing iMaxAllocatedMemoryBytes to values much larger than default can cause stack thrashing (stack buffer overflows), intermittent game stuttering, erratic game behavior and CTDs. Stack thrashing will produce stack dumps in the Papyrus log. The dumps can be very large if many scripts are running, this setting is for stack size not heap size, so there is no reason for setting this to a huge value even though it is possible."
I'm just quoting someone more knowledgeable than me here. It seems there is no need to increase this.

Id like to try this but first, could anyone tell me if

    A) Night vision/Predatory vision/Vampiric vision works with this

    B) How are nights? This since i find most ENB's having unrealisrticly dark nights where moon and stars play no role at all and lightning is often messed up or light from light sources wont work properly.

    Tha nks

Fantastic enb, i got bored of my custom enb and opted in for this one , I tweaked it to my liking and upgraded to the latest 2.41.
My last one didn't suit rcrn to well so i had no choice really (:

For some reason with this ENB version, v121212, I can't get Transparency AA to work. Has anybody had any luck?

Wait, but I have to use only the rcrnShaders.esp? Without the Data folder with textures, effects, etc?

I tried to use ONLY the esp from rcrn and with the enb 0.217, just doesn't work good. A lens appear on the screen. Weird.

Tried with v121212, but I don't like the results....Too much bright, as you can see http://img.techpowerup.org/130912/TESV2013-09-1220-21-49-03.jpg

There isn't an ENB version 0.123 available anymore on Boris website, it goes from 0.119 to v121212 to v0. 132. What ENB version do you suggest folks use with RCRN Plus - ENB? Should we just use the latest? <Currently v0.168> Thanks in advance.

The only reason I ask is this mod was recently updated on 13/03/2013 so it left me wondering if it was still being supported.

I use the latest dll (v0.201) I highly recommend it for the ENBoost memory management changes.
with that I use an enbeffectprepass.fx that I found in a depth of field pack for simple Bokeh depth of field and an old version of the enbeffect.fx left over from an old enb for sunrays.

lol, it's a bit of a mess but it all works together nicely and look incredible
and because you can tweak it in game with the enb options window you can tweak every setting to your hearts content and getting looking exactly how you want it in every lighting and weather condition.

In my quest to find a perfect balance between performance and quality, this mod hits the spot. My aging HD 5700 can barely keep above 20 fps in places with a lot of flora (SSAO on) with most ENB configs so I tried out RCRN and really enjoyed the improved weather effects and the nice jump in FPS but found the colors fairly bland (albeit maybe more 'realistic'). I knew there had a to be a decent ENB config for it and vola! found it. I still wouldn't mind about 5 more fps in some of the rough spots, but overall this suits me very well.

For the record, I couldn't get the sunglare to work, I just deleted the file. It sort of looks like a weird rainbow-ish pixlated flat dimension, I'm happy without it tho.

This actually does a very good job of minimizing FPS loss. Otherwise just use default RCRN, as it does most of the effects an ENB does without the FPS loss.
