A shame this is dead now, it was the best mod for this game ever. I've taken at least a decade break myself, but if the original author ever returns to Skyrim I would be tempted to discuss collaborating on a Skyrim SE revival edition. Maybe even with a few additions.
I know this mod is old now but my playthrough went well right until I came to exit Thalmor base and after pulling lever it put me under the elevator :)
The idea for the mod is good but the mod itself is not. In the Rift I ran into a Thalmor patrol which is INVULNERABLE. Zero damage. Even unkillable with the console, I tried several times to click one and type kill - nothing, they are still unhurt and alive. I'll deinstall the mod again for godmode Thalmor is just a number too big for me. I read here the mod has been abandoned, so I won't see a day when this will be fixed I guess.

The idea is fun and cool, but performance is shit. Every single NPC added by this mod is hostile to the player faction NO MATTER WHAT, and you don´t even need to start the quest to them to appear or nothing, they are there, they attack you, and killing them will count as a progression to the quest.
Even if you´re an Altmer and have the Joining the Thalmor Mod installed, the NPC will still be hostile, and killing them will still trigger the quest progression, ahppen with my THalmor Altmer Wizard. SKyrim "roleplay" is pretty fucked up to beging with, but a mod that brokes it even more? I don´t give a f*#@ about Thalos yet I´m being ambushed by this guys?
Un-endorse. And everyone that downloaded and check it should probably do the same, because this is still pretty high on the "most endorsed" list in it´s own category, and that´s ridicoulus considering the problems I just enlisted. V2-2-2 my ass, this is a WIP Beta that got abandoned two years ago, that´s it, a horible one if you are trying to roleplay ANYTHING beyond a racist Nord that would kill anything just because.
I have had two different run throughs with this and have had no significant problems with it although some of the minor stages in your quest journal can get confused if you do things out of order (like stumbling on a camp before finding a note telling you about it) much like some of the vanilla quests. Your comment suggests that your experiences were not so good, what problems did you hit?
Im reading the number of people asking for help or updates well after the announcement from the author declaring he was done with this.
As of his description, the mod is dead. As of the various posts, its bugged/broken. Is there a way to remove it? Or do any of the modders left want to try and fix it? (*are they allowed to without getting banned? Most of what Ive read here suggests not)
The Thalmor patrol in The Rift is "unhurtable", meaning that every hit on them (be it from me or my follower) does not deal any damage, nor play the proper sound effect, it's just like swinging at a hologram. Not sure if it's a bug from your mod or from another, but is there a way to solve it? Thanks in advance

We need to see if the staff can start removing these broken dead mods.
