K, now download the NPC editor, (the link is: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/4554).

Load up the editor, while at the same time making sure that in the load order is only your facial mods (ie Apachii hair) as it doesn't matter about the other mods as this only changes facial and body features... you can load the others, it just takes longer to load the program for no benefit.

When that is done, load up the lydia.esp file, and then tell me if:

    1) you get an error

    2) when you go to appearance tab, and then hair, does it show that it is loading up the correct apachii hair?

Yes, I have everything up to date, I'm using CBBEV3 and I have other hair mods but they shouldn't conflict because I had those installed before I reinstalled Skyrim and now it's not noticeable at all, I just don't get it, I have those files installed ofc and checked too. Just don't know what the problem is... =/

    Ok...

    So couple questions:

    First: [The dummy questions]

1)Do you have all the parts of the hair folder (Apachii's hair) in the right places? So when I look at my version (1.4) of Apachii's hair, there should be a "Meshes" folder, a "Textures" folder, and a file called "ApachiiHair.esm". All of these should be placed inside the Skyrim/Data folder. The best way to do this is to 1) Extract the entire compressed file to a folder on your desktop 2) Look inside the extracted contents and find a folder called "Data" 3) Copy and paste the entire folder into your skyrim folder, and click yes to overwrite anything (it shouldn't have to, but do so anyways).

2)When launching the game do you have the checkbox clicked to load it? (I use the built-in bethesaida launcher, not the NMM (nexus mod manager). If the file isn't checked off, then obviously it will not load ingame.

    Second: [Other questions]

    1) Are you using the most up-to-date version of Skyrim? (This shouldn't be a problem if your copy is legit, as it will auto-update itself; but if your copy is torrented, then it needs to be up to date).

    2) Are you using any other hair modification mods?

    3) Are you using a specific nude body type, that may be incompatible with the hair (I use CBBEV3M, and it doesn't conflict for me)?

    4) Are you using any files that Apachii has listed as incompatible files?

    5) Are you using any kind of other body mods... like clean females (removes all the dirt) for example?

I tried all the following solutions but the hair still remains the same, this time the face, details on it and the lips changed. That was a good sign, but still the hair remains, I've no idea what the problem could be. =/

Believe it requires the High Res Texture Pack DLC made by Bethsaida. Do you have that?

Also, you do have Apachii's Hair (the main download at the top of the page), ONLY 1 set of eyes installed (theres 4 different varieties), Bella's Better Females mod WITH a makeup option (I thought the 3rd one looked the most similiar), And the Lip Gloss Mod?

There also may be some skin coloration issues, when can be solved by editing her in the Skyrim NPC Editor (to get the editor to work properly, make sure you have the apachii hair, texture pack in the load order; other non-face/make-up mods don't need to be in the load order)

@sjohn53; I am not critisizing you man! I think it looks great. And it does work for me... I dunno if it is Fixed Followers Lite or some other mod, but she does look and act feminine now with a feminine stance in my game. Also I found if you change her hair to Brown, she almost looks like Bella from Twlight XD (not that I watch it, but she looks the same in Snow White and the Huntsman)

I'm having a problem, when I install the mod, I add the .ESP file and install the recommended addons, for some reason it doesn't change the hair at all or the face, I don't get it. it worked for me last time before I reinstalled Skyrim but now it's not, does anyone have a solution for this? Thanks.

I made it in the middle of the game. I don't know if others have had your conflict or not but you may just have to let it go because I don't know what else I can do or how to do it. She wasn't that difficult to change in the Creation Kit and you might just wanna try to make your own Lydia via the CK. Sorry it didn't work out for you but there's not much else I can do but to point you in the right direction.

Just out of curiousity (as I also think this is a part of the problem) do you create a new game with Lydia Makeover selected from the start, or do you add it to the load order after you finish MQ104 (Dragon Rising), when you receive Lydia. Reason I ask is because it might also be inheriting the old lydia's animation even though everything else has been changed.

Or it might also be because I'm using your mod in addition to a mod on Workshop called... Fixed Followers Lite, that apparently even though it is another follower mod, it doesn't conflict with your Lydia Makeover.

Huh that's weird cuz before you even posted this comment I made a Lydia with a bsa attached (just been too lazy to upload it.) It still doesn't fix the female stance issue in my game but I'll still upload it so others can try it out!
