"as we don't have any evidence from Bethesda that the original Nerevarine from Morrowind is dead, and therefore his reincarnation would not be appropriate."
Morrowind Prophecy is over and there isn't gonna be any more reincarnation, Nerevar reincarnated, Dagoth Ur is dead and prophecy is completed.
Hi! I’m currently creating a Nerevarine centric mod for Skyrim, and I was wondering if I could use this mod within it? If not, that’s okay, I just figured it’d be a nice touch to add to my current work. Thanks either way! I love this mod as it is tbh
I'm fine with you using my contributions to the mod, as long as I'm credited and you don't charge for the mod...but you'll also need to get permission from PrivateEye, the creator of the mesh/texture (see link in this mod's description).
If you do use this mod, please let me know once you've uploaded so I can take a look!
Last we heard he was heading towards Akaviir or something.
Would be awesome to get a DLC or something that expands upon him.
It is extremely unlikely that Nerevar is dead as well.
His is untouchable by age and disease, and nothing could really kill him.
(He was likely stronger than the champion of cyrodil pre-sheogorath transformation) He took down 2 people with the power of a god, defeated an aspect of Hircine himself.
Defeated countless opponents, man, beast, and daedra.
yeah.. he ain't dead...
Where is he bethesda!!!
This is an excellent homage to one of the greatest heros, Nerevar!
There was some idle talk in Oblivion, that he had disappeared while on an expedition to Akavir. And is he really such a great hero? He killed Vivec, thereby causing the Red Year eruption, because it was Vivec's power that kept the 3rd moon (Ministry of Truth) floating above Vivec City. And while we're at it, why did the Dunmer build an Azura shrine? She was responsible for the whole mess in the first place.
Vivec wouldn't have been able to hold the meteor up for much longer anyway because his divine powers were fading, especially so after the destruction of the Heart thanks to the Nerevarine. What happened to Morrowind was inevitable, but at least Dagoth Ur and the Blight was stopped. The Tribunal were false Gods, hence why the Dunmer went back to worshiping the Daedra after they died, and building statues to Azura. Nobody ever said the Gods were kind, especially the Daedra.
The destruction of Vivec city was due to Vivec's own hubris, not the Nerevarine.
>She was responsible for the whole mess in the first place.
The people who stole the three daedra's powers and broke their oaths are responsible for their own punishments when the plan backfired. The fact that the Ministry of Truth was used as a sword of Damocles by Vivec is on him.
Hey, I'm brand new to modding, but I recently remade my Nerevarine as a custom follower and I'm currently using PrivateEye's non-lore friendly version. I was just wondering, if I switched to your version, could I give the perk to my follower and allow them to safely wear the ring (while killing everyone else)? Or is there some kind of scripting shenanigans with getting the kill function to work that follower AI won't recognize? I suppose it doesn't really matter for my personal use, since I never plan on taking it from her, but if I ever release it to the Nexus (and have your permission), it would be a really nice touch for those greedy players who would take her ring for their own.
Edit: I downloaded your version and added the Nerevarine perk to my follower. Works like a charm, except that I still get the false incarnate message. Not a big deal, but I have another issue. I added the ring to her default outfit, and it shows up as her wearing it in the CK preview, but I can't get her to actually wear it in game. It doesn't even show up in her inventory. I have to snag the copy from the locked box on the altar to give to her. What am I doing wrong?
I know I am late, but this can help anyone else that looks at the comments here that is having the same issue.
By default outfit, do you mean that you created an outfit specifically for her or that you put it in her inventory in the CK?
I am new to modding, but when I look at characters I never see rings or amulets put in their outfits but in their inventories, making me think that it is bugged where they won't wear it. Try putting it in the default inventory.
PS. Doesn't Neloth refer to the Nerevarine as a HE in the Dragonborn DLC?
I know how you feel. Despite still having Morrowind on retail CD, it's so cheap on Steam that I went ahead and bought it again last week so I don't need to mess around with the disc.
