Anyone else get gradual FPS drop using this mod? Like, after it's happened I can open the race menu, select another race and watch the FPS counter jump back up to 58, switch to Drow and it drops to 19.
How is it I only found this mod just now?!? Oh well... anyway, if you would like to rip Icing Death and Twinkle from Bob's Armory to include in your mod, feel free... even though the offer is kinda late lol.
All the lorefascist debates aside, I like your mod better simply due to the fact your females don't have BUFT. ( That's Big Ugly Fake Boobs word that rhymes with bits for those who haven't seen me use the term before ) .
Drow without a summon spider spell? Well to each his own, but considering they were kinda infamous for that...
Besides that, looks neat. Interestingly, according to FR rules in D&, males and females actually spec differently. Women outright aren't allowed to use non-clerical spells, though Lolth's definition of 'clerical spell' is rather... peculiar and includes fireballs and baleful polymorph. In TES terms, women would be better at Restoration and men better at attack magic. Men also tend to spec as fighter/rogue, while women spec as fighter/cleric, so the girls be more likely to have points in Heavy Armor, while the guys would be lighter on their feet.
Not sure it's possible to make variable skill bonuses based on gender though... just food for thought.
Constructive critism, not bitching: (All points are taken into account from Forgotten Realms ruleset)
1. Drow race never got resistances to poison or diseases, if anything they should have reduced resistance due to Constitution penalty. 2. Speech skill should be reduced due to infamous reputation. Why? If surfacers know about the dragons (before they reappeared) and Falmer, they should know about the Drow. In FR setting as surfacer character, I would not trust a drow to even to talk with one, let alone trade with one regardless of being exotic race with Charisma bonus. 3. Skin, as mikeyGlitz said: "Drow skin also isn't just pitch black. It ranges from a light-gray, charcoal color, and can have a purple-ish tint" 4. Improvements to magical skills, especially Destruction, pointed by mikeyGlitz 5. Melee skills are not racial, thus should not be improved. 6. I assume penalty to EXP is impossible to be limited to specific race(s)? 7. I think smithing should be +10 to +20 because drow items are best quality compared to any mortals. 8. About levitation:
"Back in 3rd edition, drow could gain levitation by taking the Highborn Drow feat from Races of Faerun pg 164. Other drow could gain levitation from their Drow House Insignia also in Races of Faerun pg 173. The House Insignia could also have other abilities on it along with the levitation." -GodwinXZ
So its not racial.
But regardless, this its really interesting mod and has lots of potential for improvements. Good work.
Drow craftsmanship was limited to their city smiths, and the items could only survive while remaining in the Underdark radiations. If used for prolonged periods above-ground, they deteriorated and fell apart. The only melee skill related to their race was an innate ambidexterity, very useful for dual wield.
I probably should of made the Males and Females different races, but I was keeping it simple, or so I thought. Also, I was going by 2nd rules, which is what was out at the time most of these books were written.
Drow levitation was limited to nobles and only worked underground. This is stated directly in first book.

Please don't start a drow/dark elf debate. I still get nightmares over the Dwemer/Dwarf debates.
