I've created a quick file to fix the problem with this perk stopping dragon smithing not affecting dragonbone weapons for people using DG.

still alive ? i think this mod cause my character to gain like 22 level each time i upgrade an item that is not a vanilla or DLC one. have othe mod that may be the cause though. please answer.
... had a small problem in mine, got the steel smithing perk.. lvled up to 70.. still couldnt get to any other perk in the smithing. got to 100 still none unlocked. not sure what happend to it.
Not sure if this is only because they are dragonbone weapons which weren't released when this mod was last updated (Probably is the reason) but I am unable to make Dragonbone weapons go past flawless with 100 smithing and no smithing bonus items/potions. After uninstalling this mod I am able to make them legendary without any bonuses besides the dragon smithing perk and 100 smithing.
@TonyM16-I was looking at the mod in the CK and was not able to see that ancient honed nord weapons were part of the dwarven family. I am getting the same result you referenced and it is clear that the modder will not likely fix this. Can anyone suggest how these weapons can be removed from this mod (which I otherwise like). Unique weapons such as Dawnbreaker, Pale Blade and Mehune's razor are also overpowered.
I see from the wiki that these weapons are supposed to benefit from the Dwarven smithing perk.
huge problem cause ancient honed nord weapons are getting improved four times as much due to being part of the steel and dwarven family ( they already were part of the dwarven faily and dint need to be added to steel aswel). I didnt realise until a week later what was causing my OP nord weapons.
