I am sorry to announce I have no more plans to update this mod, as I haven't been playing Skyrim for a while now.
This mod had much more success than I would ever have expected, so thanks to all of you for your support, feedback, endorsements and help!
If anyone wants to edit this mod and reupload an updated version on the Nexus, I hereby grant permission, as long as credits are given, especially for all the modder resources that were used.
My only thought on how to improve this (and how I even found this mod) is adding a fast travel spawn in the room, or just outside the place. I might have to find a mod that moves the FT spawn closer to the building, the amount of load screens to get into and out of the AM Quarters is damn ridiculous
My Safe disappeared. I can see where it should be under the shrine of Talos, but its just empty space with the shrine floating on top. Also the shrine cannot be interacted with.
I LOVE what you have done with the quarters though and really want to use this mod. Any way to fix it?
Hello, seems like a load order problem. Do you have any other mod altering the college in your load order? You're the first user having this problem. i have not tested or ported the mod to the skyrim special edition yet. Are you using it?
No, I'm running old standard Skyrim, and I don't have any other mods affecting the College.
I actually found the safe. Its in the original location behind the lectern. Kinda a hidden safe. lol. Im still able to use it though.
I tried changing the load order to no success, but one thing that may be the issue is I'm using Jaxonz Renamer mod and I renamed my safe to "Treasure". I tried naming it back, and reinstalled, but it didn't work. I renamed other containers in the room, but none of them moved so I can't confirm that's it.
Thanks for the load order. I don't see conflicting esp. But you have JaxonzEnhGrab.esp in your load order, which seems to come from this mod: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/52583/? Maybe you could try to re-position the safe directly ingame with that tool?
Little bit of a late message but to anybody using the Glory Days of Winterhold College mod (I think that's what it's called) just load that mod first then this mod, it worked fine for me using NMM.
I had a few soul gems in my workbench but I just picked those out! C:
Thanks, I have glory days and was wondering about this mod. Glory days doesnt effect the arch mage quarters so i was thinking maybe this mod can help, but was wondering if it had any issues with others. You just answered my question, thanks again.
Hey could u please add a no smithing/crafting area as well please? I personally think it looks irrelevant to Archmage Quarters, and I think there may be some other people who think the same?
The "Alchemy Box" has a strange hitbox that makes actually opening it a chore since I always seem to open the potion chest right behind it. Besides this little annoyance though I like this mod very much. Moved from Breezehome to the College since the entire place is a giant playerhome with great people once you become archmage, plus I can free myself from the petty political squabbles up here.
Hello! Thanks for the feedback. You are right about this hitbox thing. It's not game breaking, but should be fixed. I don't have Skyrim installed on my computer right now, so I can't promise a patch right away, but I'll do my best to fix this as soon as I install the game again.
It's frankly no big deal as the Strongbox on the alchemy table is perfectly suitable for storing all the ingredients, it's one of those "fix when the time is right" kind of deals.
I did notice a more glaring issue after I've lived inside the archmage quarters for a while though, and that is the lack of a smelter. I don't know how a smelter might fit inside the archmage quarters without breaking the "clean air" atmosphere, but at least from a game mechanics standpoint it is slightly tedious since the closest smelter is all the way out at Whistling Mine.
Again though, all very small things that hardly detract from the awesome mod you've created. My compliments to you and the College of Winterhold!
EDIT: Oh yeah, one more minor thing I noticed. I suggest replacing the two pots and ladle located beneath the Cooking Pot on the shelf by the wall with static clutter instead, like how you've done with some of the books. The way the Cooking Pot works, the player usually bumps the pots which make for some hilarious applications of Havoc physics.
I once removed a smelter, but with all the new mods around and knowledge, I'm pretty sure some sort of small magical item working as a smelter could be included. I'll look into it. As for the items beneath the cooking pot, why not. Turning these into statics should be easy.
