you did a nice retexture, the point is just that id like to have them *less* visible, barely visible-weathered and not fresh, just thin irregular lines and not a bold sign. Like done with a pocket knife or dagger A real thief class character should have a selective eye for that.
I found a little issue concerning the shadowmark for Severin Manor on Solstheim. It has the "guild" shadowmark even though I haven't even started the TG questline.
I have two mods that affect the interior of the home; I don't know if those would be causing the issue or not.
I came back to Skyrim after a long absence, and I see you got around to updating this. Great work! I'm going to go update the description on mine to reflect the changes and potentially point people your way.
Hey, welcome back! Thank you for letting me use your script; it certainly made the update much easier.
If you want to incorporate anything from my mod back into yours, please feel free to do so. In particular, I was very happy to discover that changing a few settings within the texture set records made a pretty decent improvement in the visual quality of the shadowmarks, reducing the pixelated edges and the shininess of the decals.
The only reason I can see myself updating mine is if I want to bother adding in support for Open Cities. If this mod supported that, it would effectively render both my and Arthmoor's mods obsolete.
As for the script, there's a reason I put it under the MIT license. I may do a decent job, but other people can certainly do better, and if I can help, I want to.
I don't have any screenshots showing the new shadowmark textures. I'll try to post some when I get a chance. If anyone has time and wants to upload a comparison, it would certainly be appreciated.
I can tell you're also a major skyrim thief. I'll probably download some of your other mods, but i really don't care about shadowmarks unless they tell me if i can loot the place or not. still checking out your other mods tho. can you create a mod for the DB too?
Purely cosmetic. I dd however had one incident in vanilla skyrim where a random encounter courier was in my house in Riften. I couldn't get rid of him so I killed him and stole his letter and hid his body in the basement.
I think it would make a great feature if you could activate to change the shadowmark(s) on your home to anything you like. Since the effect is purely cosmetic, why not? Perhaps the house which I store stuff could use a loot shadowmark and the unused house can have the empty shadowmark. And I could put danger on the house with an angry spouse or housecarl. Oh the options!
