For anyone experiencing the missing sword texture I found a fix! No clue what causes it, but all you have to do is manually reassign the textures in NifSkope.
For those unfamilar with NifSkope here's a quick-ish tutorial:
Mod Organizer users MUST launch NifSkope through Mod Organizer
Open the mesh in NifSkope and navigate to the branch for the mesh missing the texture, for the sword (SovngardeSteelSword.nif) your looking for the "NiTriShape" node with the value "DwarvenSword:0"
Open all the branches attached to this node and find the "BSShaderTextureSet"
On the list of textures you need to click the gear(?) at the beginning of the file path and navigate to "Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\Data\textures\weapons\SovngardeSteel" for the sword textures and "Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\Data\textures\cubemaps" for "QuickSkyDark_e.dds", reselect the texture and open it (if you can't find these paths and you're using MO you need to open NifSkope through MO)
Save the mesh and your good to go!
repeat for "1stpersonSovngardeSteelSword.nif" looking for the "NiTriShape" with the value "1stPersonDwarvenSword:0"
Thank you. That helped... Buts I gots a question... This is my first time using NifSkope and I have the game installed on a different partition than default. Now, the textures of the nifs are going to that path directly instead of \textures\... Does this mean that it's set like that now - going through the root partition through the folders?
Also, if people are using the DSR patch this needs to be done for those nifs as well.
Needs texture and lots more than that :/ I am using it now but it needs a update to the newest CBBE stuff with all the physics and to SSE, I have it converted to SSE for my own play through, still looks great but physics dont work, need the bodyslide files.
Hi, do you know how to make loincloth remover work? Install the original version and it didn't work and then version 2 and neither. Download the UNP version, can you help me?
The sword is missing here too. Please help me find a suitable texture or I will need to delete the mod completely, which is a shame because the armor looks rather good.
Edit: Forgot to mention it's for Skyrim Special Edition. Tried NIF Optimizer, but the texture is still missing. The sword texture is definitely in the Data folder, but something is preventing it from loading properly.
This armor is great, even six years after creation. For SSE users, literally all you have to do is (a) download the file and activate it, (b) select it under Data in Creation Kit and hit Save (then close CK), (c) run NIF Optimizer (which is also literally just clicking one button "Optimize" once you select the mod). That's it, and it works perfectly for a follower with a CBBE body.
Hey I did this, but instead am using an .esl file created in CK. It works fine but the sword is missing the textures (its purple in game). I use Mod Organizer and didn't manually move any files, so that part should be fine. Does your sword show up right>?

But, there is a BHUNP version of this which has physics. Just download it from baka and go through nif optimizer and you'll be fine.
