Could you please make a mod that simply change training cost to skill*skill for ALL trainers?

Update: found her. She was standing outside the stables in Whiterun and her dialogue offered all training for 0 gold. Then the training wouldn't actually occur. I used the console to whisk her away to the Bannered Mare, but she still couldn't train me. I probably have a mod incompatibility problem, but I wanted to make everyone aware of this possible glitch, in case there's a fix.

It's likely a problem with load order rather than a glitch. If using a mod manager simply put this at the very lowest part of your load order and see if the training normalizes. If you're using Mod Organizer in the Left Pane when you click on any mod that has a conflict with another mod you will see Red and Green indicators in the left pane windows scroll button. This is particularly helpful when trying to reduce conflicts or find them.

If like Oblivion you find your fingers bleeding from too much clicking, there is always Skyrim Community College with 18 master-level trainers with spam button training.
How to reduce trainer cost: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/images/541438/?

I beleive the issues reported are due to something within the 1.9 update, however, I've not been able to duplicate them.
I'm currently working on a complete re-write of the mod, including a MCM options menu.
If you who wish to disable or change particular aspects of the mod, you will be able to do so.
This means you will have to be running SKSE and SkyUI though.

    Thanks for the feedback

Thanks! This mod has great potential, especially now that the Oghma Infinium glitch was 'repaired' by 1.9 Hope you can fix things! Perhaps some of the unofficial updates to the Elys Uncapper/Uncapped perks are conflicting with things. I have a couple of them.

I can't find the trainer, nor is there an entry anywhere in my quest menu to toggle her location on or off. I've been searching inns at random for quite some time, but without any clue to her location, it's nearly impossible to find her.

The mod isn't working for me. When i try to train it tells me that every training costs 2500 and when I go to select it I get the dialogue as if she was training me, but the actual training doesn't happen and I don't have the cost deducted.

Like Fyuumi, the penalty appears permanent. Once I trained 3 times, I was penalized with decreased Stamina for ever. The time period never terminated. Sleeping for 8 hours, waiting for 8 hours, even continuing to play for over 2 hours, the penalty never left.

After that, I unloaded the mod, and attempted to continue with the saves that had originally included it. So, your mod NOT loaded any longer etc... The penalty was no longer listed under active effects, however, the Stamina penalty remained on the character, never allowing the character to recover, despite drinking potions etc.

I was forced to lose the 2 additional hours of game time play and revert to a save that never had this mod installed.

As others have also mentioned, I like the idea behind the mod, but there appear to be issues with the penalties being way too steep and the expense is already enough to make it difficult to achieve much with her as a trainer, she leaves the area already on the third training so you have to hunt her down again, and she appears to fast travel although I can't prove that.

That seems enough of a limit with the expense.

Thanks for your work on this a.ellis!<img class=">

Gtk the mod works as hardcore version of training. Think I will wait till you offer a version without all the extra effects, beyond training.

Tracking atm, no mod conflict issues, just looking for a mod to fix the lack of training when using Uncapper.

I would gladly Endorse and Kudos this, here's hoping you have time to support the average non-hardcore gamer with a version of your mod.

    Thanks

To everyone who has mentioned their displeasure with the penalties:

I will change the "system" in a later version. I'm quite happy with it as it is, but a lot of you folks aren't. As far as I can tell, all the problems reported are due to mod conflicts. This mod works flawlessly on my system (I only use a dozen or so mods - mostly texture replacers and my own).

That being said, there are some issues reported on the BSG CK forums about the 1.7 release of Skyrim (mostly about mod dialog). Since I've got dialog in my mod, I don't expect to release an updated version until the dialog issues are fixed by Beth.

    Thanks.

Hi, I'm going to try to be as respectful as possible here, so don't take my comments as an attack. What I'm writing here is meant as constructive criticism only and not as an attack in any way.

In my personal opinion I think the 'real time' penalties are far too steep. When I sit down to play, often I only have an hour to play per day at best. Restricting the game to such a great degree for a single point or two of training seems highly excessive. I thought the idea was good and tried it out. However, after training my second point with Elys I was stuck with a 72 minute debuff. Trying to continue, with potions as you suggested, was very difficult.

I understand your desire to balance out the training with a penalty, but the gold costs are extreme as it is. For those of us who don't use console commands, it's really restrictive. But I'm going to have to unload this mod and revert to an earlier save, the training time makes the game really pretty much unplayable for people like me who don't have 72 minutes to waste.

I'd highly suggest revisiting this idea, I just don't think it works. Like the mod concept otherwise.
