I much preferred the older less shiny version that's still on steam, is there any chance you could add that version to this download list as an option, for posterity?
It looks really good. I just feel concerned with consistency. As usually there are a lot of mods that are good out there, but lack full compatibility due to not working on the rest of the assets, just the one. What I mean is, you don't have a body skin that goes with this, and fits any body mod specifically. So It's hard to tell what to use it with, so that it can match, and be consistent. I usually prefer Real Girls, or Mature Skin, as those are very realistic (especially Real Girls - the new version, which has yet to be released). This face texture I really like though, and would like to use it with a skin that matches.
Thanks. Understand your concerns. I intend to maximise compatibility with mainstream body mods and may do a matching body skin. All depends on how well this is received and if it's worth my time.
You're welcome. I look forward to it. This needs more exposure. Have you thought about writing an article for it? There is an article section. You could mention that you came back and updated the mod and mention any plans you have for it and what not. People read those sections a lot.
Good idea. I struggle with how to get exposure with limited time to spare. I'm not in the industry and am a learn as I go amateur. Maybe an article on what I did, useful resources, etc.
It stated that it's best with UNP. So with that being said, I have a question.
If I use a different body mod than UNP (either CBBE from within WSCO or CNHF) what option here should I be installing so that I don't get texture mismatches? When I use other body mods like the ones mentioned, I usually install a texture that's compatible with them separately because I like to use something quite realistic, like Real Girls, or Mature Skin (usually one or the other, not both).
Is it even possible to make this face texture blend well with those and look consistent? Consistency is important to me in making the game feel seamless, and complete. I try to be careful with everything I install, but sometimes I don't know enough about a particular mod that I'm installing, and I mess something up. I do not currently have this installed, so I'm not hinting at a bug or issue - I'm simply asking how to avoid one if used with said mods.
I say UNP because that is the one I've tested with so far. There is still a minor shading incompatibility on the default body and CBBE versions. I plan to test with other popular body mods in the next few weeks. Without an ENB, it is actually very hard to eliminate neck seam completely. I used Unbleak ENB with SSS settings enabled to give the best results. Also tested with clean install and no ENB but could not exactly match. I'll make a video comparing this update with Real Girls, or Mature Skin, etc. in the next few days.
I use Vividian ENB Vanilla Version right now. Vividian has 2 versions. It's my favorite ENB. It's compatible with basically every lighting mod out there and weather mods.
Are there any mods that will change the skin for the rest of the body to match these faces? The difference in color/texture between the face/neck and chest is really visible on certain characters (Like Aela) and it kinda bugs me...
