    So, as many have noticed, I basically abandoned this mod around Sept 2013. Bottom line is that AFT was a product of what I wanted out of my Skyrim companion experience. When I moved on to other games, my inspiration for updating and maintaining the mod was lost. Six months to make the mod, a year and a half of support. I think 2 years is more than enough dedication for a community to expect out of mod authors.

    For those who took the time to endorse this file, I thank you. For those who went the extra mile and made mods to enhance AFT and even patch AFT, I thank you as well. And for those who monitor this forum and answer questions on my behalf, you have my thanks as well.

    This post is to let users know that while I no longer check these forums, I am still around (Currently writing Mods for Fallout 4). I freed up my inbox, so if anyone has questions regarding AFT or needs to reach me, I can be reached via the PM system (though I normally hang out over in the AFT Fallout 4 Edition forum now).

      Try not to change your Loadorder during that current Play thru, or adding and deleting Mods; as with any scripted MOD this can cause a corrupted save. It is recommended to LooT Sort LO before new game @ http://loot.github.io/
      For initial trouble shooting: LooT sort MODs first to test, if necessary then place AFT last in LoadOrder will fix most AFT conflicts. Please review Dheuster Videos, Changes and Read Me (.V.Advanced Trouble Shooting) in above TABS.

    mensagem chata dizendo que e imcompativel com imersives horses. sendo que joguei mais de 18 horas sem qulaquer problema  ,os seguidores continuam firmes  e geram seus cavalos sem algum problema , esao trabalhando muito bem juntos. isso deve ser um erro de script??

    How can I configure multiple followers? Because now when I ask one follow me another goes away.

    So I have 4 follower but how can I change them to another 4? Because the first 4 followers I hired occupy a limit of 4 and I can't hire more without loosing new ones.

    I am using v1.66.  I have successfully used AFT to obtain six potential followers out of the 32 allowed.  The description says you can have up to five active followers following at once.  While I am able to have four following me at once, when I command a fifth to follow me (by selecting "[AFT] Follow me, I need your help" in the dialogue), the first leaves my service without notice, keeping the active follower count to four.  This cycles indefinitely, so that I can only have four followers at a given time.

    I went through twenty pages of comments here to see if anyone else had this issue.  There was one comment about it, and the solution was to look at the detailed ATF Readme in the Data folder to learn how to set the number of followers.  But I found nothing helpful there, nor any way to do that.

    I have a theory.  There was a time that I got a stray dog follower.  At some point in the game, the dog vanished completely.  This is a known bug, and apparently the dog is technically still "there", but you cannot interact with it, and it is invisible.  A wiki gives a command to reset the animal follower counter to zero in order to remove the dog follower for real.  I tried that console command, but this didn't fix the ATF issue above.  So I don't know if that dog bug has anything to do with my problem or not.  

    I intend to start a new game, recruit five new followers with ATF, and try it in that game.  In the meantime, any suggestions would be appreciated, and I will edit this post with anything I discover from that new game test.

    Update:  Looks like it is probably the stray dog bug.  A new game allows me to have five active followers.

      I’ve had the same problem. I have 4 followers and thought maybe the Cicero/Initiates exploit is what is preventing my fifth. I also have Serana as a follower but that’s through a mission. I still wonder if she takes up a a slot tho? I also have the wild companion spell so maybe it’s my animal that’s taking the 5th spot? I always thought pets were their own things

    My problem with CTD on startup was Relationship Dialogue Overhaul was installed with the EFF option. Just uninstall RDO and reinstall with AFT option.

      I have the CTD (or Skyrim doesn't even start) even if I don't have any mods active except USSEP (patch), SkyUI and SKSE :o Let alone other companion mods.

      But at least: it “seems” to work with the current AE version of Skyrim, so I can still test it.

    Skyrim no longer starts once I activate AFT. I have the SK AE running with all the club content, otherwise I've really thrown everything out as a test. All 3 files are under DATA as usual. Who can confirm that AFT also runs under the current version of SK AE? :O

    Otherwise, there doesn't seem to be any follower mod that still works. UFO, for example, doesn't do it either, and the air is getting thin...

    I dismissed a follower but when I went to their default location to re-recruit them, the AFT options don't show up in the dialogue. I can only say "wait here" "I need to trade" and "it's time for us to part ways" but of course they already "parted ways" that's why they're back in their default location to begin with. Although when I select "wait here", after I talk to them again it gives me the option "follow me", but then that command just repeats and they don't actually follow me. I tried casting the "make follower" spell but they resist because it's "already in effect". I tried reinstalling them but that didn't do anything. Idk if a full AFT reset is the only thing that might fix it, but I'd really rather not have to do that. Is there some sort of console command or something I can edit in TES5 edit to fix this?

    Almost ten years later and this mod still works exactly as advertised (v1.9.32.08 LE). Good code doesn't need to be updated every year to keep doing what it's supposed to do =)

    does anyone know how to stop followers sheathing weapons when they are a certain distance away and then unsheathing them when they come close to me when I have my weapon out? I think it has something to do with this mod but I am not sure anyone got advice
