A word from the author continuing the excellent work of Nedius.
At the moment I am working on an update for this mod. Much of the work has been completed already, since I have been using a modified version for my own gaming. The update will include:
- Ability to process gems and ores in the smelter, creating ingredients. - Removal of ingredients added by Dragonborn - Rebalanced effects - Editing death items for some creatures (giants, trolls, others...)
Future updates will include harvestable plants growing in border regions, but for this I must check out some of the most popular cell-changing mods in order to avoid compatibility problems.
Suggestions and requests are very much appreciated.
I would LOVE to be able to plant most of the ingredients. I know that will be a long ways away but If they would turn into plantable/harvestable items, I will be so much in love with this mod!
I'm not 100% sure if it's this mod, but sometimes when I eat an ingredient with paralysis as an effect, my character never gets up and I have to reload an earlier save. There are ingredients that cause paralysis in the base game, but prior to installing this mod, they'd always get right back after a second. At first I thought that maybe there were new effects, like a stronger form of vanilla paralysis, but then I waited a whole minute and knew there was no way that was supposed to happen. I don't want to turn the mod off because I love all the different ingredients and finding new ones from the earlier games that I never played is really cool.
You can see how long the effect will last in your magics window, I remember eating an ingredient and being paralyzed for a few minutes. But when you brew that bad boy into a potion you get 512 sec paralyze poison and it sells for a tonne too.
There doesn't seem to be any documentation of what exactly is in this mod. So I made an imgur album that has all of the ingredients. https://imgur.com/a/lk8vs
Note that any bugs with the UV mapping may be because I was using it alongside SMIM.
thanks it seems its mod is interesting i got tired of playing some new map and the old skyrim ingredient always appears on a new map with your mod can help in different ingredients i dont have the caco because it causes a lot of trouble but u and the solution
Is this up to date with Skyrim and is it compatible with, say, Requiem or Skyrim flora overhaul? It be really great to see this mod updated in the future so that I can download it. Too bad I won't do it now as I'm not sure if it's compatible with other mods :/ Looks awesome though.
I don't know about Requiem but I use SFO and it's compatible. My thinking is it's probably compatible with anything-- unfortunately, the ingredients mostly don't show up in the physical world, they're found in merchant inventories. There's a couple exceptions, like Arcadia's Cauldron has some of them in her shop now. If you have anything that edits the interiors of an alchemist's shop that might be a problem.
BTW that's what I want to see if it can be done with compatibility in mind, more of these in level lists and the environment. Still a cool nostalgic mod and I like the new effects.
