It's funny, I have the opposite philosophy. In my modded Skyrim I've actually made it so most women are taller than the men. In this fantasy world of Tamriel, women are stronger (or just as strong) as the men... there are countless examples of this. I know that isn't strictly "realistic" by real world Earth standards, but this is how it is in Skyrim and ES..... So it stands to reason that if this is the case, it would be more consistent and realistic for the height and weight to be congruent with this. (I don't use bulky muscle mods because I don't want them ugly AF lol.)

If there's one thing I find ridiculous, it's when video games and movies portray 4'11, 103 lb anime women totally destroying a bulky man a foot and a half taller and literally twice their weight.... It just totally destroys immersion.

However if you give that same women Brienne-of-Tarth-like proportions, it's much more believable when she is able to wreck The Hound in single combat.

Anyway not sure why I had to say all this to a random stranger on the internet, but there you have it.To each his own!

The only time I've heard/seen that females in elder scrolls being taller is with bosmer/wood elves otherwise I've only heard/seen that the males are taller.

I'm not saying they are taller in ES lore, I'm saying they are as strong or stronger. I mod them to be tall because i find it more realistic.

While I understand the idea of the mod, I would like to fix it for all those who comment that it is more immersive and more lore-friendly than the vanilla game, because I disagree with that point. Even the "lore-friendly" version of this mod is not actually lore-friendly. To know the real height of each race/gender, I suggest we look at Morrowind/Oblivion values, because in these games they didn't care about gameplay balance between races/gender and just put what should be according to the lore. So here are the height values taken from Morrowind/Oblivion (for each races the values are Male/Female) :

    Altmer : 1.1/1.1
    Argonian : 1.03/1.0
    Bosmer : 0.9/1.0
    Breton : 1.0/0.95
    Dunmer : 1.0/1.0
    Imperial : 1.0/1.0
    Khajiit : 1.0/0.95
    Nord : 1.06/1.06
    Orc : 1.05/1.05 (Morrowind) 1.06/1.06 (Oblivion)
    Redguard : 1.02 (Morrowind) - 1.03 (Oblivion) / 1.0 (both games)

In Skyrim the heights are a bit more uniform, because they cared more about gameplay balance and similar heights are better for killcams. Though, the height order is the same.

Males/Females of the same race sharing similar height is not Bethesda being forgetful or anything. If they were simply too lazy for that, they would have "forgotten" it for Argonians, Bretons, Khajiits and Redguards as well, wouldn't they ? Not to mention Bosmers males being smaller, don't think this is the devs being too lazy to make them taller.

Heights being similar for both genders for Alters, Dunmers, Imperials, Nords and Orcs is part of the lore. It is how things are in Tamriel. Tamriel is not Earth. None of the race is the Earth's "homo sapiens", they are all imaginary races of an imaginary universe, even if some of them look similar to Earth humans.

As for female orcs walking and noses, female orcs are supposed to look and act quite masculine (more so than the females of any other race). They are not described as sexy or beautiful. Orc race as a whole is seen as ugly by most people in Tamriel. I also consider it a lore thing that they walk like their male counterparts.

So while this mod may be more convenient to you, it is not more immersive and not that lore-friendly. What it actually does is making Tamriel looks more similar to Earth. To me a lore-friendly mod should use Morrowind/Oblivion height values and shouldn't modify female orcs animations and should still less give them more attractive noses.

Concerning orcs, there can be a debate about their height. Their relative height (compared to other races) change in every game. In Morrowind they were smaller than Nords. In Oblivion they were as tall as them. In Skyrim they are taller than Nords (1.045 vs 1.03). Also, male Redguards become smaller every game (1.03, 1.02 and 1.005), but that doesn't change the height order because there is no other race with a height comprised between 1.005 and 1.03 in the three games.

This is a classic fantasy height mod so none of that matters, it's based off of D& where orcs are barely a humanoid race and elves are smaller than men, with women being petite/skyimpy and men being large and powerful, classic high fantasy stuff you know?

Stupid to reply to a four year old post, I know, but have you seen female orcs walk? They look unnatural and imo quite ridiculous. Changing the walkstyle actually restores lore to the game. The one extra nose? Really? The nord nose? Nords aren't meant to be beautiful either. A nose job for player created orcs isn't going to suddenly make them more attractive. The lore friendly option is to make the height discrepancies more obvious. Have you played TES : Online as a imperial? Nords are f***ing big. The size discrepency is actually there. I've never played either Oblivion or Morrowind (that's more because I don't have the time to dedicate to finishing games anymore, although sometimes I come back to play a game I used to play for the nostalgia).

This is a cool idea! I never noticed the unrealistic body heights of characters in this game

I feel silly making a comment on a five year old mod, but several of your races are too tall. If Altmer are 1.1, then Nords should only be 1.06, Orsimmer 1.05, Argonian 1.03, Redguard 1.02, Bosmer 0.9, and everyone else at a 1. If the lore friendly mod used the heights from Morrowind, I'd have downloaded it.

Pretty sure the goal of the mod is to make the height disparity more apparent, Morrowind's heights differ only slightly from the vanilla scaling. Besides, Skyrim has it's own lore heights.(Orcs are taller than Nords, and elves are much taller in relation to the other aces than they were in older games.)

the change from normal to vampire seems to reset the sizes down, leading to the character model being "pushed" down to his normal size.

Front page: "Along with the changes to race height I've changed the female Orc walk from the male walk to the female walk and given them access to one of the better looking Nord noses."

Can that out of the mod and in a seperate file?
I do not think this belongs in a size adjusting mod.

Thank you for making this mod and i like to use it, when the above is out of it.
    Greetz.

The male walk on the female orc doesn't make them look tougher or more manly, it just makes them look deformed and possibly constipated, they walk with their arms in an arch that isn't natural because the animation wasn't made for their body, it looks bad and is fine to take out if you're looking to make the genders look more correct in relation to each other.
Besides, the mod author's had this mod around for quite a long time, what belongs in it is whatever he decides belongs on it.
