@blaa.nOx: I'm fairly sure that bothering to respond to a random guy's pithy remark and doing so in an absolutely belligerent, confrontational tone (ie. looking to start a fight) qualifies your attitude as poor regardless of your opinion on the actual mod. You're also not following your own rules, or at the very least applying them to a consciously specific subset of situations in order to excuse your own behavior - "you don't like it, move along". You find a guy's comment offensive? Move along, just as you recommended.
Secondly, it is a simple fact that there are mods that are of lower quality than others. It is, of course, not productive to insult them as the user in question did, but offering constructive criticism is assuredly useful. By the standard you're presenting, I could spend five minutes on a 'mod', put it up, and be immune to criticism because it doesn't cause your computer to explode. Being part of some imagined 'circle' is irrelevant in terms of being capable of judging an individual's work.
Thirdly, post count/kudos doesn't even have the slightest inkling of relevance to an individual's legitimacy, and should clearly not be deemed a valid criterion for judging them. If you're using that as a descriptor of activity (and therefore closeness to the 'heart' of the community), you've been here since 2003 and have accumulated 7 kudos, while, for instance, tinghshi has been here less than a year and has 1 kudos - a much stronger ratio in determining activity vs. value.
Fourthly, while yes, 'click to vote down' is silly, I'm _fairly_ sure that being confrontational is ALSO not a way to win in real life.
@blaa.nOx You're attitude is way worse than the person you are criticizing. You plainly strike out at them calling him a nobody, when he is just stating a fact. The author obviously spent no time at all on this, and he deserves to be told so. If you care about number so much, just look at the number of reputations your comment got and the number he got. Do you really think you have more right than him just because you've been on this site longer? If so you are more ignorant than you present yourself to be.

It is a testament of _extremely_ bad manners to make the first comments about someone else´s work so negative when it is clearly a matter of taste, not bad craftsmanship(bugs, crashes). You can downvote my initial post a trillion times and it´ll just show the sad state of you people.
"Only" 7 kudos is a bit far stretched since there are authors of popular mods with hundreds of posts that have something like 20 kudos. Post count matters to a certain degree- if you don´t know someone or are new to a circle, you should hold back with your criticism until people know that you´re not all about negativity or at least deliver it more respectfully.
In the internet with "click to vote down" etc., you people win. In the real world- you don´t.
