just to let every LOK fan know Gabriel*Raziel has quite literally gone above and beyond and made NosgothLOKMOD its took him 3 years of hard work and it goes to show it, features the sanctuary of the clans, lake of the dead, razielim clan territory and all the brothers much more is to come aswel he just needs some support, if he gets enough endorsements then he will carry on, also if anybody is good at modding then maybe you can help
I played the original LOK, and all others. To bad Silicon Knights didn't finish the series. To me, only the first and the last game (and the second Raziel) were interesting, but the story is unended.
Concerning this sword, it's a great idea, but its useless at higher levels. It does 49 DMG and cannot be crafted. My Deadric sword is crafted to over 120 DMG. So, this sword, which is way awesome in LOK series, is actually way weak in Skyrim.
Also, if someone can do a WRAITH BLADE with the blue glowing texture found in Skyrim, and make a small quest to combine it with this BLOOD REAVER, and have a final result of a darker textured SOUL REAVER (a sword worthy of its legacy), that would be super awesome.
I just found another Soul Reaver Greatsword on Steam. Was kinda hard to find. Seemed like it was in Dutch at first. I just downloaded it. Says that its craftable with Deadric skill and had Deadric pwr lvl. So, all I'd need to do is craft, upgrade and then enchant with health/stamina stealing property and whalla - Blood Reaver.
... dunno if it works. Will find out in a sec...
LOL! It's ... not good. I can craft it. Upgrade the dmg with ebony ingot, but the sword goes on my HIP, but my vampire (named "Kain") reaches behind his back for a greatsword. He pulls the sword out, but there is actually nothing in my hand. The sword stays on my hip. That sucks. Thought I was free and clear there for a second.
Can you add Black texture and glowing eyes on vampire skull on sword(and greatsword ofc) add full scabbards,resize greatsword 1.3.Similas to this mod http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/4435 .
For those that can not see the sword (like me until today). You will have to manually move the files to the meshes folder. Take a look and if you see the soulreaver folder outside of the weapons folder move it to the weapons folder and you will now see the sword in the location mentioned and pictured. hope this helps!
I wish I could remember where I found the other Soul Reaver I'm using... the model is perfect, but since I don't know much about modding, I have no idea how to make it into a 1H weapon or remove the Soul Trap/Health Drain enchantments. I prefer to use one-handed swords, so your mod, while the weapon model could use some work, is the one I'm using right now.
The two-handed animations just don't fit the Reaver. When Kain used it in Legacy of Kain: Defiance, he used it very fluidly, as if it didn't NEED to be swung with two hands, but still could be. Even with the tweaked animations I've got for the 2H, it still looks like my character is struggling to swing a tree.
My main complaint with your model is that the blade doesn't look quite as serpentine as it should and that the wings are a bit off. Your model is good for the Wraith Blade, though. Just add the Conjured Weapon effect, maybe make it a spell, and that would be pretty damn sweet.
