This is perfect. Tried using the command in SE and the command just wasn't working at all. This however works and I don't have to possibly keep inputting the command every few minutes or whenever it decides to show its face again.
I'm currently having this glowing eyes problem which annoys the hell out of me. I've tried everything I've read on the net, nothing works. I think Bethesda modified something with recent updates/patches/DLC or something but I confirm that nothing works for the moment. I will now try this "fix" as a last resort, but if anyone knows of a way to solve it without totally losing the draugr effects from the game, i would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance
Okay, I tried all kinds of fixes as I just got it in the last few days for the first time since 2011. I even tried the spell console commands but nothing worked. Rebooted my computer (this may sound strange but it solved a dual texture problem I had with my vampire lord character not long ago), but nothing seemed to work. I went back bunches of saves and tried it again. Nope.
Then one last time I tried the addspell removespell thing, from 3rd person, just like before, but this time for some reason it worked. It was on a different save and so maybe that made the difference. Anyway, I am happy again.
The bugs in these games are always very bizarre. And they always happen 5-10 hours after you start playing. It's very uncomfortable to have to cheat to solve everything. Thanks for the definitive solution.
And I'm happier not having to use the Unofficial Patch which would cause me more problems.
this needs to be on SE tbh, I do the add/remove but as soon as I go into first person then back out i've got the stupid wispy-draugr eyes, i'm yet to try doing the codes from third person but if somehow that magically fixes it then ill be shook. stand by lul
nice work I just happened to get this glowing eye bug. Tried everything ( magic and shout) to fix it , but they are no use at all Do you have any idea what actually cause that? I notice my eyes was glowing after a fight in a ruin
For me in happened right after I installed EBT... i'm not sure if that caused a screw up in my Skyrim, but it did still happen after I uninstalled it, too :o

Pull up the console, and enter
player.addspell F71D1
then exit the console.
Notice the black "smokey" aura around your character - and the message "Draugr Abilities Added" at the top of the screen.
Pull up the console again and type
player.removespell F71D1
and then leave the console.
The Draugr Abilities spell is removed, the smokey aura goes away, and so do the glowing eyes.
Thanks.
