I like the look of the new ancient dragon, however it seems more suited for a blood dragon. Is there a way I can rename the file so I can apply this ancient dragon texture onto my blood dragon models?

It has been brought to my attention that the file structure for the alternate textures is wrong. It should be Data/textures/actors/dragons. Also about the LOD I personally never had issues with it, I can not fix it at this time due to my computer crashed and I can't afford to get a new one.

    January 19, 2012 Update:
Fixed the file structure for the 2 alternate textures.

again, thank you JourneyOverride. about the LOD, the DnD mod has some LOD files, anyone wanna tell me what that is? there is also a file named translucent_wings.dds, what is this? sounds too general to remove, afraid i might screw it up if i do this wrong

EDIT: ok so i've installed the mods as i said i would, and im having 2 issues: even tho i have different skins for frost and regular dragons, the appear exactly the same in-game. in fact, the regular ones are just frost dragons with a different name, not just the same skin, the have the same spikes and appearance, they are EXACTLY THE SAME!!! ive tried to fix this by changing the skins and stuff, but nothing works. ISSUE #2: all of a sudden, the only dragons that *wither and grant souls upon death* are the regular ones. the rest of em' just lies there with blood on their faces and refuse to surrender their soul to my terrible whims! any ideas people?

EDIT2:i recently played the quest where you face your first dragon, and it was green, using the dragon.dds from the this mod, although i had assigned the black DnD skin from DnDish dragons the fake frost dragons mentioned erlier were summoned using console commands

EDIT3: nevermind guys, ive found the source of the problem; the code i used to summon regular dragons was in fact a code that actually summoned a dragn with frost dragon textures x( and the dragons spawned with commands doesnt give souls.

Any chance you're gonna make LOD's for these skins? I really like them but I get the dragons popping back and forth between the normal skins and these, which looks really strange

If you are using the Nexus Mod Manager, I would install the mod that will use the most textures first.
    -Install Busted11290's texture pack
    -Install Revan117's texture pack -
-Override dragon_earth with DnD Dragon texture (this is the Elder Dragon)
-Override dragon_snow with Revan117's texture (this is the Frost Dragon)
-Override dragon.dds with Revan117's texture (this is the Dragon)
-Go to the data/textures/actors/dragon folder in your Skyrim directory and removedragon_boss texture to have it be original (this is the Ancient Dragon)

If you are installing manually, you can just unzip all the files into a few folders and drag and drop the textures you want to the correct directory.

@JourneyOverride thanks alot it doesnt seem as tricky as i thought it would, hope this works without any fuss ill get back to you if it does
EDIT hey what if i want some dragons the way they are. lemme explain :p this is how i want it:
    -ancient dragon- same
-elder dragon- red (this mod) or red (DnDish dragon textures)
-frost dragon- either this mod or the white dragon mod by xRevan117x
    -blood dragon- green (this mod)
-regular dragon- black (DnDish dragon textures by xRevan117x)

Yes, you can mix the mods if you are smart about it.
I use Logan's textures for three of my Dragons and I use this mod for the remaining. I just install this one first, then Logan's, overriding the Frost and Earth textures with Logan's version. The third mod I use from Logan is his Alduin retexture and has no conflict since Alduin isn't included in this mod.

For adding in the third mod from Revan117, It is the same concept.
Find the mod that will be your basis (starting point), then install the other two on top of it. Override only the specific textures you want to have, leaving the rest to the base mod (the first one you installed).

Busted also has a list of what texture is what dragon in game on the description section of this mod and commands to spawn each dragon type.
You can use the texture to in game dragon list for reference. Then use the commands to double check the textures are the way you want them.

It is a little bit of work, but if it is your dream to have all those Dragon types, it won't be to much of a pain.
