I've just uploaded a final update that changes the crafting recipes to match those in the Dawnguard DLC. If you have Dawnguard, you won't need this mod. If not, you'll now have the same options, plus a few extra.

This mod will no longer be maintained.

@FlapjacksNsyrup: thanks for reporting these problems. I've just uploaded a new version of the mod that fixes the amount of Orcish arrows. I've also added a new recipe for Daedric arrows that can be created from Hagraven feathers, ebony ingot, 2 firewood and a Daedra Heart. The original recipe is also still in there, it allows "upgrading" ebony arrows to Daedric Arrows.

Orcish Arrows only make 1, not 20!
And Daedric Arrows require a Daedra Heart and 20 Daedric Arrows? Why!? That was the main reason I got this mod is so I could craft Daedric Arrows. Problem is, it's broken.....

I don't think requiring feathers for even low level arrows is a big issue, as the vast majority of players using your mod will also be using a crafting or melting mod that lets them strip feathers from arrows. in fact, you end up with a pretty good balance if it requires more feathers to make new arrows than you can get from stripping old ones. and requiring hagraven feathers for the top class arrows makes them suitably rare and worthwhile.

    cheers

Thx for not adding new perks to smithing. I'll try this out since the other one I was gona try adds perks, so I dont want to sacrafice a smithing overhaul, just for arrows. Thx

Thanks for the comments and input

@ayjaytee16: some of the more powerful arrows do require feathers, I didn't want the lower level arrows too difficult to create.

@JonoPhoenix: the Wood category is already in the game. It is triggered by the keyword "WeapMaterialWood". I don't think it's possible to add entirely new categories. I think Silver ("WeapMaterialSilver") should work if you add a recipe for the Silver sword or great sword. There is no keyword for Forsworn or Nightingale, so any recipes for those items are likely to end up in the Misc category.

@BravoOskar: it should work on any forge.

Simple, useful and easy to use.
Great mod (Though it shouldn't have been necessary Bethesda!)

How did you make a Wood category? Or was that there already? I would like to figure out how to add new categories to the smithing list (e.g. Silver, Forsworn, Nightingale, etc.)

nice mod, although you should add feathers (hag, eagle?) to make it more lore friendly and realistic
