I was relatively new to porting mods, so after watching a bunch of tutorials and reading a load of articles, it seemed that it was as simple as running it through Cathedral Assets Optimiser (You can grab this here- https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/23316?tab=files) and popping the esp files into the SSE Creation Kit and saving. However, nothing appeared to work.
I figured that the problems I had with this mod might be due to the fact there were patches for the DLC as separate esp files. Couldn't find any guides on that particular scenario, so I looked into ways of merging them. Found a very handy tutorial online (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oQ1mdOGosdc&list=PLlN8weLk86Xi4TsqufmahJywsK4LTyalT&index=2) about merging esp files. There's also a link in the description of that video for installation instructions of the tools you need.
If you want a really, really simple guide on Cathedral, I referred to this the first couple of times. Thankfully, a lot of the settings in Cathedral are on by default- https://gitlab.com/G_ka/Cathedral_Assets_Optimizer/-/wikis/Porting-a-mod. It's super easy once you get the hang of it, even if it seems daunting initially.
I hope this helps any aspiring modders- and gourmets- like myself!
Edit- Noticed there was a bit of a hiccup with the sweet yam pie texture. To get this small annoyance sorted out, I picked up the archive extractor to get the textures out of the Bethesda compressed file, or bsa. You can get the extraction tool here: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/974/?tab=description. After that, I ran it through Cathedral again and bam! Problem fixed!
Some of your foods seem to be missing textures and/or models: Ash Hopper Stew, Baked Yams (there's something wrong with the mesh; vertices are pulled out on it), Braised Beef, Goat Stew, Mushroom Soup, Sweet Yam Pie (this one has no model appearing at all in the menus), and Yam Soup. I'm used to working with loose files and changing paths in TES5Edit, but I don't know how to go about doing it for a bsa file. Thoughts?
EDIT: Nevermind, it seems that merging bsa files can lead to missing textures. My bad!
Is there a list of the recipes in this and the DLC patch outside the game that someone has? Im trying to remember what I need to pick up to make some things
Wanted something simple to extend food recipes for Requiem 1.9.4 and this does it very well.
If anyone is running USLEEP (unofficial patch for Legendary Edition), you want to open TES5edit and delete the extra entry 0300F207 "RecipeFoodBoarCooked"
This is already patched in USLEEP.
It will duplicate cooking entries for Boar Meat when using the cooking pot if you have this mod and USLEEP together.
Just wanted to drop you a line to let you know I'm thoroughly enjoying your mod, even more than I thought I would. I am in a relatively new playthrough, so I haven't seen all the recipes yet, but it's a very pleasant surprise to see a new one show up at the cook pot.

However, these are outdated now because they still look for Chesko_Frostfall.esp instead of Frostfall.esp (latest)
Frostfall compatiblity:
https://skyrimsurvival.com/home/frostfall/compatibility-modders/
Summary: Just launch TES5edit and add the keywords "FrostfallWarmFoodDrinkKeyword" to respective food to provide warmth
Uninstalling the mod: there will be loose scripts so use SaveCleaner to scrub your save files if you are in a middle of a play-through.
