This would be a pretty crappy shield. Much better than vanilla skyrim shields; but still, the construction is all wrong. The handle should be parallel to the main plane of the shield, like on real historical shields. Because that cupboard handle puts your hand a couple centimeters away from the center of mass means that you'd be constantly fighting against the entire weight of the shield just to keep it vertical, as the whole weight is on the same side of the handle. There is no counterweight. Having the handle flush with the shield is a necessity for a centergrip-type shield to be balanced properly. The reason why real shields have a bosse is because the bosse covers the hole in the shield where your hand should be holding it (exactly at the center of mass), so that the shield naturally stays vertical without any effort. If you don't have a hole for the handgrip to be in the correct location, then there isn't a reason for having a bosse, it would just add to the unbalanced weight and make the shield even harder to hold upright, with no benefit.
why this shield doesnt look like this one "http://www.pcgamer.com/2012/04/11/the-best-free-armor-sets-for-your-skyrim-dragonborn/", that was the link that brought me here. Also is really easy to make a dual sheath redux patch, just download the tutorial in the mod page and nifskope.
Now just need a Dark Raider style helm with deer skull faceplate. And maybe his armour, and swords! Ok, maybe getting carried away. But while I'm on a rant, think Bluetooths' wolf/dragony faced hammer would work a treat in Skyrim.
omg a mod maker finaly use the Imperial crafting slot O_O out of the probly 30+ armor mods i am useing 90% of them use daedric and misc ,cluttering my crafting menu .
and vary nice wooden shield . i would kinda expect to find this at a talos shrine as it looks weatherd as if left in the snow and rain for a while. gives it a nice feel.
